About Ammar

I am an engineer and PhD holder with more than 25 years of multidisciplinary experience across teaching, management, management information systems, research, technology, engineering and professional training. I have worked with undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate learners as well as professionals facing complex decisions, new responsibilities and changing career demands.
My advantage as a career coach is not a one-industry script. I can understand clients moving among technical, analytical, managerial, academic, research and creative environments. I help you identify what you can genuinely offer, translate experience into evidence, recognize transferable skills, identify critical gaps and communicate your value clearly to the right audience.
My approach is analytical, practical and individualized. We diagnose the situation; define the target; map skills, achievements, constraints and gaps; compare options; practise high-stakes communication; and convert each session into concrete next actions. I use questioning, real-world examples, structured frameworks and direct feedback while adapting the process to your experience level, profession and objective.
I do not manufacture a persona or promise outcomes that no coach can control. I help you make better decisions, prepare systematically, present truthful evidence and become more capable of managing your own career over time.

Your career is not a generic template. Whether you are choosing a direction, searching for a job, changing sectors, preparing for a high-stakes interview, returning after a career break, seeking promotion, or strengthening your leadership profile, we will build a practical strategy around your real experience, target market, constraints, and goals.

My coaching is structured and action-oriented: diagnose the situation -> define the target -> map evidence and transferable skills -> identify gaps -> practise communication -> refine materials and decisions -> leave with clear next actions.

Support can include:
• Career direction and decision-making: clarify target roles, priorities, strengths, transferable skills, constraints and realistic pathways.
• Skills-first positioning: translate genuine experience into evidence of capability, outcomes, scope, impact and transferable value.
CV/resume strategy: achievement-based content, role alignment, ATS-aware structure, concise evidence and truthful keyword alignment - without stuffing or fabrication.
• LinkedIn positioning: headline, About section, experience framing, skills, visibility, networking and credibility.
• Job-search strategy: target roles and employers, networking, outreach, application prioritization, tracking and follow-up.
• Interview preparation: behavioural, competency-based, managerial, panel, case-style and role-specific interviews; STAR/CAR stories; mock interviews; difficult questions; executive presence.
• Professional transition: sector changes, technical-to-managerial moves, academia-to-industry moves, return-to-work, career breaks, international transitions and re-positioning.
• Leadership and advancement: communication, stakeholder influence, decision-making narratives, promotion readiness, leadership identity and 30/60/90-day planning where relevant.
• Offer evaluation and negotiation preparation: compare role fit, scope, development, risk, compensation factors and decision trade-offs; this is preparation, not legal or financial advice.
• Responsible AI-assisted career workflows: use AI to research roles, compare job descriptions, improve drafts, map skills and simulate interviews while preserving truthfulness, originality, privacy and human judgment.

What you can bring to a session: a CV/resume, LinkedIn profile, job description, interview invitation, career-choice dilemma, transition plan, promotion challenge, performance-development goal, or simply a need for structured direction.
