About Mara
I am a college graduate from the University of Texas-Austin, and am headed to medical school after I enter the Airforce. I majored in Human Development and Family Sciences and had a minor in Asian Religions. I am studying to be a pediatrician. I hope to, someday, be able to extend my practices outside of the United States into Asian countries where medical resources are not always available, such as my home country, The Philippines.

I base my classes on what I have learned from my experiences in college, as well as my own teaching experiences from my practicum in the Child Laboratory at my campus. I place myself in the student's understanding and explain complex topics in terms that the student would relate to. My main goal is to make sure that the student will be comfortable in their capabilities and instill the idea that knowledge is to be nurtured and built, not stagnant.
