About Sylphia
Hello again, I’m Sylphia. I’m a third year journalism student at UAL and aspiring teacher. Aside from the obvious, the reason I want to teach and the reason I became a tutor is because, and it may be selfish of me, it brings me fulfilment. Particularly in writing, which is what I do for a living. Literature can be such a beautiful art form with so many ways of expressing oneself and I strongly believe that if you are lucky enough, you should be able to at least have the opportunity to learn about the wonderful worlds of reading and writing and all they can offer.

Hey! I already introduced myself, but as a tutor I like to use open ended approach that allows students to learn in the best way that works for them. I spent my middle school years in the gifted program, and am aware that the rigidity of the school system does not work for everyone. School is stressful and as a tutor, my goal is to work together to find ways to take some of the pressure off of the work and findat least some fun in learning.
