About Nellie
I am a third year biology student at the University of Canterbury. I have always helped others and done tutoring on the side, ever since early highschool. I find the best way to understand something yourself is to teach it, and a fundamental understanding of basics is key to progression in more advanced studies. Besides, it’s always rewarding to play a part in another person’s success.

To me the most important part of teaching is finding out how a student thinks and therefore learn. If a student is coming for tutoring, nine times out of ten it is because they have not understood what’s been taught to them by someone else. This means they’re in need of an explanation suited to the way their specific brain works, and it is my goal to understand this unique thought process in each individual student so as to provide the best possible teaching outcomes.
