About Neil
As a third-year university mathematics student with seven years of tutoring experience, I know the difficulties learning can bring, and the amazing change in attitude a tutor can bring to a student. I am always respectful of the students and their time, providing positive reinforcement and feedback, and setting realistic goals. I am prepared, as I stay up-to-date on the curriculum and use different resources for teaching such as videos and activities. Finally, I am a good communicator, and listen to a student to find out exactly where they are struggling, and figure out how we can overcome these challenges.

Students should take lessons with me because I make learning fun. I show how math is used in video games, in cooking, and in sports. I create detailed lesson plans that provide different ways of learning, through, for example, using different educational apps and real-world scenarios. I encourage the students to ask questions and take risks. Through creating a positive environment, I give students confidence in themselves to meet their full potential.
