About Shimon
Originally from the Bahamas, I am a PGCE student at the University of Sussex. Currently on a school placement as part of my course, I have planned and delivered lessons at KS3 while offering a helping hand for GCSE pupils both in lessons and in extracurricular interventions. I achieved a First-class degree with a year abroad and received the John Lowerson Prize for the highest History dissertation mark at the University of Sussex.

As a PGCE student, I am committed to tailoring lessons to pupils' specific needs, whether that be navigating the content-heavy demands of GCSE exam preparation or learning strategies to improve pupils' self-regulation. My philosophy is that History students ought to be well-rounded individuals and therefore, my lessons are also designed to teach students how to organise their emotional and disciplinary needs to progress against their desired curriculum.
