Math is like working with puzzles. When you see the patterns then everything fits together. I teach students to find the patterns in their work, show them their mistakes and how to avoid them in future. I teach my students to be mathematically-minded and I encourage them to ask more questions. In lessons, I like using relatable common situations when I teach, for example baking using recipes - I would use a collection of everyday items in the kitchen as a means to visualise the ideas related to the concept, then add or multiply quantities to solve a problem. Most students find fractions hard, I have used everyday items eg. matchsticks; drawings, doodles and a variety of step-by-step methods to help you find your way to understanding the parts and a whole. I help students to check if their answer is correct before showing the teacher. I also do drill-work, which is very necessary in learning Maths. I train you on study techniques I used at school. I teach in Maths in English only. Math is not hard, you are a math genius and you do not even know it yet.
