Teaching Method and Techniques
My teaching method is interactive and student-centered. I focus on breaking down complex concepts into more manageable parts, using real-life examples to make the material relatable. I employ a variety of techniques, including:
- Active Learning: Encouraging students to participate in discussions, ask questions, and solve problems during the lesson.
- Visual Aids: Utilizing diagrams, videos, and models to illustrate biological processes and structures.
- Practice and Application: Incorporating exercises and quizzes that challenge students to apply what they’ve learned.
- Customized Instruction: Tailoring lessons to meet each student’s specific needs and learning style.
A Typical Lesson Plan:
A typical lesson plan is designed to be engaging and comprehensive, usually structured as follows:
- Introduction (5-10 minutes): Recap of the previous lesson and introduction to the day's topic.
- Core Lesson (30-40 minutes): Detailed explanation of the topic, including key concepts and relevant examples. I use visual aids and encourage student interaction.
- Practice and Application (15-20 minutes): Students work on problems or case studies related to the topic. This could include lab activities, if applicable.
- Review and Q&A (10-15 minutes): We review the main points of the lesson, address any questions, and discuss how the material relates to the broader curriculum.
What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor:
