About Jennifer
Hi, I'm Jennifer!
I am a passionate Math tutor and a Master's student at the University of Melbourne, with a background in Data Science and a strong interest in helping students build confidence in their mathematical abilities. With over 1 year of tutoring experience, I have supported students in improving their understanding of Math, developing problem solving skills and approaching challenging topics with greater confidence.
I believe Math is not just about getting the right answer, but rather about developing logical thinking, resilience and the confidence to tackle new challenges. I enjoy helping students overcome the frustration that can come with difficult concepts and creating those “aha!” moments where everything starts to make sense. My goal is to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and growing their skills at their own pace.

I believe Math becomes much easier when students understand the “why” behind each concept, rather than simply memorizing formulas. My lessons are interactive and personalized, using a combination of guided explanations, whiteboard problem solving, practice questions and exam style tasks to help students build both skills and confidence. I break down difficult concepts into smaller, manageable steps and encourage students to actively participate, ask questions and develop their own problem-solving strategies.
I am a University of Melbourne Data Science graduate and current Master's student with over 1 year of experience tutoring Math. I teach students from primary school through to high school levels, including students preparing for assessments and exams. Lessons are typically 60 minutes and are designed to strengthen understanding, improve problem solving ability and help students approach Math with greater confidence and enjoyment.
