About Jocelyn
I have over 3 years of experience tutoring math and hold a BSc in Mathematics and Philosophy. I like to use interactive software such as GeoGebra and Desmos in my lessons. These tools make it easier to show students the dynamic side of geometry and trigonometry. I find that visual exploration makes learning more engaging and memorable. Spatial reasoning is a major focus of my teaching, and I believe it is a skill that benefits students far beyond mathematics. I also emphasize proof-writing, helping learners build clear and logical arguments. Real-world geometric modeling is another part of my lessons, which shows students the power of applying math outside the classroom. My strength is in visualizing complex ideas and making them accessible. I take pride in adapting my teaching to different learning styles. My sessions combine clarity, creativity, and rigor. Students often leave with new confidence and enthusiasm. I invite you to discover with me how geometry reveals both beauty and usefulness in the world.

My teaching approach is built on clarity, patience, and deep reflection. I focus on abstract algebra, number theory, mathematical proofs, and advanced concepts. These areas require slow exploration, and I make sure students feel supported every step of the way. Instead of providing answers immediately, I guide students to uncover patterns on their own. Proof-writing is at the heart of this process, helping them practice rigorous reasoning. I use simple examples at first, then expand into more complex theorems. DIY learners and researchers benefit from my encouragement to explore independently. I believe in fostering curiosity rather than pressure. A single idea, once truly understood, can open doors to many insights. My sessions provide space for discussion and discovery. Students are free to question and test ideas without fear of mistakes. Over time, this builds both confidence and clarity. I support them in developing unique ways of approaching mathematics. With this, they discover new ways to think about the subject.
