About Amy
I am a Physics tutor with more than 6 years of experience and a BSc in Physics with Materials Science. My main focus is astrophysics and cosmology, where I teach stellar evolution, black holes, general relativity, and the Big Bang. I enjoy making these subjects approachable for students who may feel overwhelmed at first. My teaching style combines step-by-step explanations with interactive discussion. Many of my learners are members of astronomy clubs or future researchers in astrophysics. I use visual aids, analogies, and current discoveries to keep lessons exciting. Students gain skills in both theory and practical application. I encourage learners to see physics as a way of thinking, not just memorization. Lessons highlight the connections between cosmic events and universal laws. I aim to inspire confidence and curiosity in every student. Over time, learners grow in both ability and imagination. My goal is to help students explore the universe with clarity and enthusiasm. Together, we’ll make physics both inspiring and understandable.

Physics is more than solving equations—it’s about exploring the world through inquiry. My teaching focuses on experimental design, data analysis, error propagation, and scientific reporting. These areas give learners the tools to think like scientists. I create a gentle and reflective learning space where students feel supported. DIY Scientists and Curiosity-Driven Learners especially benefit, as I encourage their unique approaches to questions. Lessons use real-life examples to make experiments relatable and practical. I emphasize careful design and planning before carrying out investigations. Data analysis is practiced through simple but meaningful exercises. Error propagation is introduced step by step, helping learners manage uncertainty confidently. Scientific reporting is taught as a skill for clear and persuasive communication. Sessions are interactive, with students encouraged to reflect and discuss. My teaching style combines structure with creativity, so learners feel both guided and inspired. Each lesson builds confidence in practical inquiry. Together, we uncover new ways to learn Physics through experimentation.
