About Tyler
My name is Tyler Anway and I am a Ph.D. in mathematics working in the areas of commutative and homological algebra. I have over 6 years of tutoring experience, both as a professional and as a personal tutor. I am well versed in all areas of mathematics up through the undergraduate level. I excel at bringing complicated topics down to a level that is both accessible and approachable. A little more about me, I live in Conway, Arkansas and I have a cat, named Suki, and dog, named Mo.

With three and a half years of university level teaching experience, and six years of tutoring I have developed quite a few techniques as an educator. I have found that often the most effective techniques are the most simple. With this in mind, I like to begin each tutoring session by getting to know what you do and do not understand. From there I provided simplified and concise explanations for the topic at hand and provide ample opportunities for hands on practice. You can also expect problem solving techniques and critical thinking skills to be built into each session. While most of my experience with teaching has been at the collegiate level, having worked as both a personal and professional tutor I have the experience required to work with future mathematicians (or not) of all ages.
