I studied Theatre and Performance at the Market Theatre Laboratory. My interests are in research about human rights, education, visual arts and gender studies. I also am passionate about African literature, as a means to represent and speak about ourselves.

My teaching "bible" is Pedagogy of the oppressed by Paulo Freire. This influences the way I approach teaching as a device for liberation. My lessons encourage dialogue in that, as the teacher, I'm also the student and viceversa in class.
