  • Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

Until Class 7, I was not very interested in Mathematics. Since my father is a Maths teacher, the subject was often discussed at home. During my school days, I started helping my friends with their doubts, and through this process I realized that teaching others helped me understand concepts more deeply. Gradually, my interest in Mathematics grew, which was reflected in my academic performance.

What truly changed my perspective was the moment I explained a difficult concept to a friend and saw their face light up with understanding. This experience made me believe that clear explanations and strong fundamentals can transform a student’s understanding of Maths, and this belief continues to guide my teaching.
  • What motivated you to choose teaching and why?

I chose teaching because I genuinely enjoy helping students understand concepts and build confidence. Seeing a student who was once afraid of Maths begin to solve questions independently is deeply rewarding.

I find motivation in the progress of my students, especially when they start approaching problems with clarity and confidence.
  • How does your work help society?

My work focuses on building strong conceptual understanding rather than just improving marks. This helps students develop logical thinking and problem-solving skills.

By helping students overcome their fear of Maths, I aim to contribute towards building confident and independent learners.
  • Who is your role model and why?

My role model is my father, who is also a Maths teacher. He has always demonstrated patience and dedication in teaching. Observing him helped me understand the importance of patience in guiding students effectively.

He also taught me that a good teacher does not just explain concepts, but builds confidence and trust in students. I try to bring the same calm, supportive, and encouraging approach into my teaching.
  • What are your hobbies outside teaching?

Outside teaching, I enjoy playing outdoor sports, especially badminton. It helps me stay active, focused, and maintain a positive mindset.
  • Do you have an anecdote from your student or professional life?

I once taught a student who was initially weak in Maths and hesitant to ask questions. We started by strengthening the basics and creating a comfortable environment for learning.

Over time, the student became more confident, started solving questions independently, and began asking doubts freely. This experience reinforced my belief that the right guidance and support can bring out the best in every student.
