About Abheer
I haven’t always found English easy. I remember struggling to understand what exam questions were really asking and how to turn my ideas into strong essays. Over time, I found ways of breaking literature down and making it much more understandable — and eventually, genuinely enjoyable.
That experience is something I bring into my tutoring. I want to help students find an approach that works for them, build their confidence, and show them that English doesn’t have to be as complicated as it first seems.

Hi, I’m Abheer — an English BA student at University College London and former Deputy Head Boy at City of London School, with all 9s at GCSE and A*AA at A-Level.
I offer GCSE and A-Level English tutoring focused on:
• Essay structure and clarity
• Exam technique and past paper practice
• Improving grades and confidence
My approach focuses on identifying exactly what examiners are looking for in high-level answers and helping students bridge the gap between their current writing and top-band responses. I break down essay structure, language analysis, and argument development into clear, repeatable techniques so students know how to consistently improve their marks. Rather than simply reviewing work, I actively teach students how to think like examiners and apply that understanding under timed conditions.
I’m very flexible with lesson lengths but typically 1-2 hours.
