College student gives maths lessons for early secondary and late primary school children

Methodology

i teach in an esay and flexible way. We can se whiteboards or we can use pen and paper or even a halk board. We will play online games and board games to help build confidence and skills. i do in home tutoring and each lesson lasts 1 and a half of well paid attention to special maths kills. i am a fun tutor and i think confidence plays a key role in understanding maths

Background

i used to be a manager at playhouse montessouri.I was expected to read to, play with and help the kids out in completing tasks and watching them sleep during naptime.
• I read, sang and played with all the kids as well as did physiotherapy on one of the kids who hurt their arm really bad. I was qualified to do this as every night I help my sister and brother, who both have brittle bones, to do their daily exercises and get around the house and to school safely. I also have a lot of experience with fractures, torn ligaments and broken bones.

Personal Statement
My name is Inas Hassan and I am 17 years old. I was born in Somalia and moved to England at the mere age of 3. I live and study here. I am currently based in Thornton heath and I would love work experience and employment history to build skills and become a better-rounded person. I am a hard working, motivated and diligent student who believes that education is the key to success as Nelson Mandela once said. I strongly believe in the quote, education will not, genius will not, talent will not but only persistence and determination is the pathway to success, look at how many intelligent educated derelicts are in the world, thus attending tuition shows a lot of persistence and it takes the tutor to notice the student and families passion for academic success. I have good communication skills, I like working with people from diverse backgrounds across wide section of community as I am and I Enjoy working as part of a team and can get on with tasks on an individual level. Experience
Montessori playhouse Assistant June-July 2015
• I was expected to read to, play with and help the kids out in completing tasks and watching them sleep during naptime.

Receptionist
• I worked fro a day as Receptionist, completing all the physical administration tasks I was instructed to do. I took on every task that was I was asked to complete even with the option of not doing some.
• The tasks were long and strenuous especially since the school is spread over 1.5 acres and people who migrated to different areas were hard to locate. Others meant I had to interrupt lessons to make notices in front of older kids increasing my confidence and speaking skills.

Thornton Heath Library summer of 2014
• I attended this for a week, as my expected attendance. I handed out medals and certificated to the best students who completed a set number of reading books at different levels. I also tested and listened to their reading level and skills as well as comprehension to see how well they understand the books they choose to read. This enabled me to increase my communication skills and work closely with children of different ages.
Nightingale Harvest October 2013
This is a homeless caring and providing institutions where we packed up food from all around the area sent for harvest and handed it out to the homeless and less fortunate people. I was incredibly privileged to take part in this diligent task. I volunteered because I wanted to give something back to my community, so it’s an opportunity for me to do that and at the same time gain some work experience. It was really good for me as I was able to contribute to making hundreds of lives better. I had a lot of upheaval during my early childhood (trying to gain citizenship and learning English as well as receiving a house) so I wanted to get into youth work so I could help people who were going through similar situations to what my family went through and I thought that volunteering would be a good way to gain experience and move forward in that.

Duke of Edinburgh practice expedition
I went on the practice, which was a 24km walk for 3 days and 2 nights. We camped during the night and set up tents we also cooked our own food but I brought home cooked food that id made the previous night. It was a strenuous journey because we almost got lost but the team effort got us to our final destination. It was incredibly enjoyable. For my skills section, I’m am going to do tutoring, for my physical I have completed 6 months of gym and for my volunteering I went back to playhouse Montessori.
Education
Gonville Academy [2006-2010]
I was a privileged and important student at Gonville always being chosen to volunteer and participate in hard tasks and roles. I was even offered a non-paying job in year 4 as a young leader to work closely with year 6’s in order to make the playground a safe and enjoyable experience. I was then offered a paying job as Pupil advocate of £5 a week later on in year 6, this was a honorary role and gave me necessary works skills and confidence to socialize with others and team building skills.
I successfully completed my SAT exams with two 5’s in English and math’s and one 4 in science
Norbury Manor Business and Enterprise college [2011-2016}
I studied here from 2011-2016 graduating as an honor student in recognition for my progress, inquisition and participation at Norbury.
