About Amrit Kaur
I have taught a class of 20 plus students and tutored on a one-to-one basis. I have been teaching for under 10 years. A lot of my students were going on to university and needed English as part of their entry requirements. Students passed with good grades. Friendly, calm and professional teaching, challenging at times. Yoga Teaching I have taught Yoga in gyms and community centres. I also taught yoga to autistic students in Acton. A very interesting hobby activity and a way to meet good people and make friends. You will lead a healthy lifestyle and improve in every way possible and enjoy the process.

I teach English with good quality resources and a lesson plan. Starter activity Word search Quiz Gap fill exercise Main activity Writing to persuade, for example Going through all the things you need in your writing to be effective in persuading using arguments facts, and other language devices. You will be asked to write a letter, article, essay, speech. You will be reading from text and noting the way the text is written. Looking at verbs, nouns, sentence structure, adjectives, connectives. You will have handouts and reading material and be expected to write after we have been through teaching. This will be done by explanation and examples and exercises to build on your skills. You will be asked what you have learnt and what you are comfortable with and where you feel you need more work. I studied to teach adults and have also worked in schools and nurseries. A lot of work with ESOL students, functional skills English and GCSE English. I have had very good teachers. Yoga classes 5-10 minute starter exercise Main set A yoga set will be taught. It could be a set for Circulation and exercises will be practised for about 30 minutes with relaxation in between. You will feel energised and you will be working with your own energy. the stretching, breathing will increase your strength and stamina and well being. You will practise different breathing techniques and meditation. Deep relaxation where you lie down and relax every muscle in your body. Stretching and different postures to warm your body up. You will learn about the art of yoga and lifestyle. I have been doing yoga since 1989 and have attended classes and yoga camps and have had the best teachers.
