I approach each class by having examples that are relatable to the student. I often ask about the student's family and friends, and what they all enjoy doing together. Then, I take that conversation as part of my examples to teach the material. Some people are more visual learners or auditory learners, for instance, and I like to figure that out early on so my lessons are tailored to them.
