I am a second-year student studying at Queen Mary of London. I usually teach to O'level students who are getting ready to do the exam. My lessons would be organized in a way which would be easy to understand for the students. I make sure to provide the basic understanding of the topic before moving on.
I have been tutoring students for about 3 years. I usually teach during the holidays and have taught over 50 students in total. Most of my students showed a lot of improvement after I started tutoring them and their parents were extremely happy about it.

A-levels: Economics (A), Accounting (A), Mathematics (A).
2010-2012 R. Innamaadhoo School
IGCSEs: Accounting (A*), Commerce (A), Economics (A), Fisheries science (A), Maths (A).
June 2015 – Jan 2016 Assistant secondary teacher (Voluntary)
• In this role I taught commerce for a small group of students who were getting ready for the IGCSE examination.
• This valuable experience helped me to gain confidence in communicating with students while tutoring different lessons for them
• Helped me to become more tolerant while engaging with students with different levels of knowledge and understanding.
Team working and analytical skills: In a University group project in the Economics and Finance module, I worked with a diverse range of students to make a structure of an economic report. We overcame cultural differences and discussed effectively the task we are given and completed it successfully.
I also made both individual and group presentations in front of the class and received good feedbacks from the teachers who also mentioned that I am a confident speaker.
IT skills: I am confident in Microsoft office packages particularly in excel which was further proved while I was trying to summarize the large sets of data we collected to do an economic project. Our group members worked in excel and summarized all the information in tables and charts and made it a lot easier to comprehend. This also increased my numeracy skills.
Attention to detail: When I was teaching in a private tuition class, I would always make sure to make teaching plans which would accommodate for the type of students I am supposed to teach. This included collecting necessary information from different means. And also for the assignments I have to complete at the university, I have always taken care to do all the assignments with my full attention and submit it on time. This has also helped me to improve my time management skills.
