About Linh Chi
Why do I tutor?
After graduating from the University of Warwick with an Engineering degree and working in finance, I am now a full-time retail trader working from home. While I enjoy the analytical and problem-solving aspects of trading, it can be quite a solitary profession.
Tutoring gives me the opportunity to do something I genuinely enjoy: working with young people and helping them grow in confidence. I’ve always enjoyed explaining concepts, breaking down difficult problems into manageable steps, and seeing the moment when something finally clicks for a student.
Mathematics has played an important role throughout my academic and professional life. I achieved an A* in A-Level Mathematics, studied Engineering at Warwick, and applied quantitative skills throughout my career in finance. I hope to use that experience to help students not only improve their grades but also develop confidence in their own abilities.
My goal is to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and challenging themselves. Every student learns differently, and I enjoy adapting my teaching style to help each individual reach their full potential.
Outside of tutoring, I also spend time caring for dogs and enjoy working with both children and animals. I find it rewarding to build positive relationships and help others develop new skills and confidence.

I believe the best tutoring comes from building genuine understanding rather than simply memorising formulae or procedures. My approach focuses on helping students develop confidence, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills that will serve them both in exams and beyond.
I graduated from the University of Warwick with an Engineering degree and achieved an A* in A-Level Mathematics. Following university, I worked in finance, where I applied mathematical and analytical skills to solve complex real-world problems in a fast-paced professional environment.
Having experienced both academic and professional settings, I understand how important it is to connect theoretical concepts with practical applications. Whether you’re preparing for GCSEs, A-Levels, university admissions, or simply looking to strengthen your mathematical foundations, I aim to tailor lessons to your individual learning style and goals.
My lessons are patient, structured, and supportive. I encourage students to ask questions, think independently, and gain the confidence needed to tackle challenging problems on their own.
