About Hugo
At school I have been the head of the Cadre Section of the CCF, which involved preparing weekly lessons for groups of up to twenty boys. This is my first opportunity to teach academically as I have only just left ten years of boarding school, but I hope my own academic results give confidence in my ability to do so.

I would like to talk to your child's teacher about their view of the strengths and weaknesses, and work from there. I think it is very important at first to give the pupil a problem in a certain topic and ask them to work it through explaining as they go so I can identify the gaps in their understanding. From there I will seek to explain it, have them work through multiple other problems on the same topic with me, and then send them away with even more to do whilst I am not there. Once their independent work has reached a certain level in that topic, then we can move on to the next.
