About Abbie
I am an enthusiastic lover of literature and genuinely care about the subjects I teach. I genuinely believe that the soft skills learnt through the English curriculum equip everyone for success in life, regardless of what they want to do long-term.
I graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2022 with a strong 2:i. I also elected to represent students from disadvantaged backgrounds while at university. Once I graduated, I worked in corporate research before following a passion to teach.

I provide 50-minute sessions where I will use texts from your curriculum to encourage critical engagement with literature and to develop the essential 'AO' skills for exam success.
In all pupils, I will look to encourage a love of language and literature as well as prepare them for exam success. I am confident encouraging this love and creating confidence are essential.
Currently, I am a teaching and pastoral assistant in a top 50 state school. Additionally, I have experience with teaching and tutoring in an SEN school
