About Cody
I work as an engineer during the day. My job requires deep analytical thinking and often requires heavy math use and calculations.
My passion has always been teaching. When I was in my undergraduate studies, I found that it was always a joy to get my classmates and peers up to par with understanding material that they could not grasp. People enjoyed my teaching method as I showed them examples and challenged them to think differently. I try to make learning this material entertaining and fun without it feeling like a total loss.

As someone who struggled early on in their studies, I had to figure out the best way to simplify down course material to best understand it. After gaining insight on works best for me, I showed fellow students my approach to great success.
The courses I enjoy teaching include algebra, trigonometry, calculus and pre-calculus. I enjoy teaching material from middle school up to college level.
My lesson plan includes understanding the fundamentals of the type of problem and get students to be aware of its purpose. This is followed by several examples we practice together. I do not move forward until my student has full confidence in understanding the material.
