About Shanmugam
I am a Biomedical Sciences student, studying at the University of Queensland. I have tutored many students before and truth to be told, most of them have seen drastic improvements in their grades, provided that they have also put in their own effort. The reason I started tutoring was because I wanted to keep my knowledge on the respective domains sharp and one of the best ways to do that is by teaching. Moreover, I am glad that I am helping someone who really needs extra coaching on a subject matter, by teaching them about the domain I am good at. One of my biggest feats was transforming a particular student who was really performing terribly in both Chemistry and Biology. A significant amount of effort was put in from both sides for a period of 4.5 months and the student did graduate with a high distinction in both subjects. In my opinion, no one is stupid. It's just that the "smart" ones are working hard while the others just wish they could become like the "smart", without trying.

I have been tutoring Chemistry and Biology for the last 5 years for both high school students and university students. My expertise lies in Physiology, Anatomy, and Biochemistry. When you become my student, you will automatically start doing active learning, as that is one of my primary modes of teaching. I can do proofreading for your assignments and at the same time will make you learn your mistakes. My lessons will be kept for at least an hour and I am ready to extend it if needed. I am ready to take both high school and university students, as long as you are willing to learn.
