About Akshat
I am a graduate from IISER. I hold a BSMS integrated degree in Biology. I have always wanted to teach; it has been very important to me, but I also have had curiosity to learn more and to understand more. That is why I did a BSMS, so that I can learn about research and understand more about answering questions that are still a puzzle and how we take steps slowly to understand more.

My teaching method is asking the why behind biological concepts. Like why do we need a genetic code, not just explaining things without any real value behind them.
I teach so that there is no memorising, only understanding. I teach so that learning is fun, not a chore.
The way I structure a class is by starting on an overarching topic, like animal physiology. I go into it with the first question of why we must study this, then who started the study of it, then what makes it interesting. Then we dive into the topic fully, going point by point, asking the same question: why do we care about this?
The reason that I do this is that I find one thing very important: without understanding the importance of anything, we forget about it very soon.
