In my first session, I will talk to my student to find out what they like and dislike about their subject, their current performance and what they want to achieve. After creating a progress plan, I'll use the future sessions with my students to go through the topics they struggle on and keep their current knowledge up to date.
The reason my students have a high affinity for my teaching methodology, is because I implement CPG revision guides within my seminars. Having these materials, makes learning difficult concepts comprehendible in a simplistic manner. I will start will fundamentals and move onto harder content accordingly.
The first session would mainly involve identifying what the student wants to achieve from my support, and any specific areas they are struggling with. My method is more one to one and I use lots of imagery and diagrams as I find this the easiest way to get biological processes to make sense.
My teaching method is to focus on the topics that a student finds hard as many times as I'm asked
I'm currently studying at Aston University for Biomedical Science. I wanted to teach Biology in a way where it would be understandable for students who need help one to one. It can be very overwhelming starting A levels or GCSE's so I am very eager to help and offer my advice and guidance to you with regards to this subject.
Hello! My name is Afreen and I have a degree in Human Biology. I give lessons to students in all years of school and undergraduates. This includes primary school, secondary school, GCSE's, AS levels and A levels. I am a very good tutor, students I have taught before have made a lot of progress and I found it very rewarding watching them succeed.
I'm a very easy-to-get-along-with young man who is fresh out of university. I will happily teach you all you need to know about any of the scientific subjects (biology, physics and chemistry and mathematics) all of which I achieved As myself in at A level. I can also travel to your house if necessary and will explain any concepts you have any trouble with patiently and at your own pace.
My teaching method is the classical way of teaching, where the topics are covered by explaining the basics. I can also make learning easier by providing tables and illustrations.
My teaching method is deliver coherent powerpoints and explain the core concepts of the subject to the class.
I am 17 years old and currently working on my A levels, I have previously tutored my younger sister in Biology and have had great results. I teach by using whiteboards to almost lecture in a way, I like to do interactive activities such as matching up cards and I find turning details such as equations into a story is often efficient when teaching and improving memory.
I am happy to provide support to those doing their GCSE's, A-levels, or beginning their biology degree. I also have a background in Geography and so I would be able to involve that if needed. I can break down the subject into easily-digestible chunks and work closely to make sure that the student really understands it, in a lighthearted and friendly environment.
Thorough lead in planning Interactive learning Accommodate visual learners Provide study notes Past papers and assessments tailored to specific learner
I approach learning in a very pro-active way. Learning by doing means that the student can memorise what they learn and also gives them a chance to make mistakes, rectify them and hence learn from them, ensuring the same mistakes are not made in a more important environment, i.e. during exams.
I always maintain a calm, friendly, professional atmosphere when tutoring. I prepare material for each individual pupil depending on their needs. I am easy going, patient and work hard to build the pupils confidence with subject. - Which subject(s) do you teach? Chemistry - KS3, GSCE, AS - level & A - Level Biology - KS3, GCSE Physics - KS3, GCSE - Tell me about your qualifications.
Many years of experience teaching a wide range of students both Biology and ESS (IB). Lesson structured around the needs of students determined by a survey prior to starting the first session. Run revision workshops for students so quick to adapt style to suit student’s needs. Like using mind maps, flow charts and quick quizzes.
I am an enthusiastic and patient teacher, more than happy to help all students with or without SEN to make better progress and reach their potential. I tailor teaching methods and lessons to individual students needs, and am happy to provide general tutoring, or specific examination preparation and revision.
My teaching method is progressive- Short term memory will be tested in relaxed activities eg mix and match, putting in order, flash card definitions, 1-2 mark quick fire questions. This is to ensure that information can be recalled quickly and easily so that it becomes second nature. Complex knowledge will be broken down and summarised into memorable key points.
My teaching methodology is that everyone should be smart about their learning as different methods work for better for different people. As a tutor, I will individualise my tutoring to how you best learn and help you find ways which work for you to retain knowledge. Furthermore, I understand that exam technique is important and I will make sure I stick to your syllabus.
My teaching method is to create questions to make sure that student understand the lessons. Moreover, my strategy is based on to tell the information and show how to use the information. I make sure to make some notes to summarise the whole lesson.
My teaching methodology is tailored to suit the individual's needs, i.e. bilingual students, dyslexic etc. and curriculum required. It is always related to everyday issues and current research whenever and wherever possible. I also keep up to date with current research in educational psychology.
My teaching method is very sociable and very understanding. I will use tips and tricks for my students that I personally used in my revision that are unique and work really well.
I am passionate about teaching science, as it has limitless scope and with the right amount of enthusiasm, tickles the curiosity of children. I love working with pupils and helping them to fulfill their potential educationally.
My teaching method is a step by step method : Learning, Exercise and Apply with Practice, it is an interactive method and something very important, pleasure, you should make everything with pleasure
My teaching method varies from student to student. Firstly I believe a sound knowledge of the subject should be attained which includes knowing the basics of each topic within the subject. After acquiring such knowledge I believe in building on these foundations so that each student reaches above and beyond their full potential.
I believe that everyone learns differently so I am always open to teaching in different styles to help pupils learn effectively. I specialise in teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 level. I also deliver BTEC Level 3 Science. I often deliver content and then assess learning through exam practice or by pupils teaching back learnt content to me.
My teaching methods are practical and evidence based. I can approach degree level subjects with unique industrial experience. Helping with powerpoint presentations and feedback sessions.
I believe that if you enjoy your lessons, you'll learn more! I aim to make my teaching accessible and fun. We all have different learning styles, so I will adapt my teaching to what works best for the individual student.
I believe Science is best taught by doing. Practicality is key. The methodology will be based on theoretical knowledge of fundamentals and most importantly, practicals (simulations, videos, other audiovisual aids).
