Currently a third year medical student at the University of Liverpool offering tutoring in biology, maths and GCSE science. Friendly and patient, currently working with NCS the Challenge so have lots of experience working with 15-17 year olds.Offering competitive rates.
On the first meeting, I hope to find out what the tutee is weak on or would like to work on. From this, I hope to test their basic knowledge of the subject material to find the depth of understanding that the tutee has. This will help both the tutee and I understand where we should focus and what topics we should target.
I am currently a second year dental student, going in to my 3rd year. I have an in depth knowledge in both biology and chemistry which I have developed over my GCSE's/ A levels and now up to degree level standard.
The things that I use to make great students is that I start something that is easy so that the students can use that to complete harder questions in that topic and exams .
My teaching focuses on student-led learning, aiming to improve confidence and skill in areas where my students feel they need support. Lessons will build up gradually from basics to more complex themes, with regular recaps to ensure thorough understanding and progress.
In my 16 years of teaching students from all walks of life, I have developed lots of interpersonal skills and techniques in teaching students at varying levels and abilities. I like to incorporate life skills in every aspect of the job to make it more practical and applicable to my students. I like to get feedbacks and am more motivated by students interest.
My teaching method is progressive- Short term memory will be tested in relaxed activities eg mix and match, putting in order, flash card definitions, 1-2 mark quick fire questions. This is to ensure that information can be recalled quickly and easily so that it becomes second nature. Complex knowledge will be broken down and summarised into memorable key points.
I'm currently studying at Aston University for Biomedical Science. I wanted to teach Biology in a way where it would be understandable for students who need help one to one. It can be very overwhelming starting A levels or GCSE's so I am very eager to help and offer my advice and guidance to you with regards to this subject.
I'm a very easy-to-get-along-with young man who is fresh out of university. I will happily teach you all you need to know about any of the scientific subjects (biology, physics and chemistry and mathematics) all of which I achieved As myself in at A level. I can also travel to your house if necessary and will explain any concepts you have any trouble with patiently and at your own pace.
Hello! My name is Afreen and I have a degree in Human Biology. I give lessons to students in all years of school and undergraduates. This includes primary school, secondary school, GCSE's, AS levels and A levels. I am a very good tutor, students I have taught before have made a lot of progress and I found it very rewarding watching them succeed.
I would prefer if the student could inform me in advance which particular topic they would like me to go through. From there we can build up the concepts and troubleshoot difficult areas. I can also tutor in exam technique.
My teaching method is clear in a way where the students is taught everything in a condense manner and is taught everything needed to get the highest grade possible.
My teaching methodology is that everyone should be smart about their learning as different methods work for better for different people. As a tutor, I will individualise my tutoring to how you best learn and help you find ways which work for you to retain knowledge. Furthermore, I understand that exam technique is important and I will make sure I stick to your syllabus.
There are several components of a curriculum, e.g., the contents, methods, tools, and the process of the teaching. The curriculum itself is developed following its educational goal in respect of the stakeholders, environment, and the education program.
My teaching method involves collaborative construction, we start with what you know and build the rest up, building confidence at the same time. I work with strong clear visual resources as well as techniques such as analogy and mnemonic making. Time is also spent developing exam technique, learning how to answer a question, just what the examiner is looking for.
I am a GCSE science and A level Biology tutor. I believe in building student confidence with a wide variety of tasks. It is always important to look at past questions and exam technique and this will be used in the build up to any exams that you may have. I am friendly and approachable and am keen to help you achieve your goals.
My teaching methods are practical and evidence based. I can approach degree level subjects with unique industrial experience. Helping with powerpoint presentations and feedback sessions.
I believe that if you enjoy your lessons, you'll learn more! I aim to make my teaching accessible and fun. We all have different learning styles, so I will adapt my teaching to what works best for the individual student.
As a dentist one of my "specialist" teaching areas was biomedical sciences for dental therapists/hygienists - including cell biology and physiology, as part of their first year. Much of the teaching in dentistry is 1-to-1. My experience tells me that the best way for a student to learn something permanently is the "lightbulb" experience: making connections for him/herself.
Thorough lead in planning Interactive learning Accommodate visual learners Provide study notes Past papers and assessments tailored to specific learner
Currently pursuing my PhD in microbiology and immunity. I teach primary to undergraduate level biology to a range of students. I have helped many of my students to understand scientific concepts they previously thought were difficult by simplifying things. I like to communicate with my students in a positive, 'can do' attitude.
I give Biology lessons at KS3 level. I enable students to reach their potential by complimenting their school work, working specifically on their areas of weakness. My teaching is primarily done alongside exercises, which I both use to gauge the development of my students as well as to identify topics which need more work.
An A-level biology specialist I have extensive experience as both a teacher in school, sixth form and an A-level examiner. I specialise in helping my students to achieve the best exam grade possible by concentrating on exam technique, application questions and exam analysis.
I am very hard working, dedicating the large majority of my time to my school work. Because of this, I am very knowledgeable on my subjects and many people from school will ask me for help on subject units, homework and past-paper questions they do not understand.
I believe that everyone learns differently so I am always open to teaching in different styles to help pupils learn effectively. I specialise in teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 level. I also deliver BTEC Level 3 Science. I often deliver content and then assess learning through exam practice or by pupils teaching back learnt content to me.
I use a variety of teaching resources to ensure pupils are engaged and can also practice exam style questions. I have taught GCSE science using the AQA and Edexcel schemes. As I normally teach one to one the pupils often let me know which topics they need help with.
I am a medical student at the University of Birmingham, and have been a consistent high achiever. I studied at Kendrick School, and left with 3A*s at A Level. Having passed my first year with flying colours, I was particularly lauded for my presentation skills.
My main focus is to try to get students to really understand the content rather than just memorising what will come up on the exam. I think going through all the modules with students and then doing a lot of past paper questions is the best technique to obtain the grade you want.
I give lessons to students from primary to undergraduate level based on the subject requirement. I am strong and efficient in teaching primarily to GSCE level biology, basic botany and zoology, cellular biology, basic protein study, genetics and basic microbiology. I require a minimum of two hours to structure and effectively teach a part of the student is having difficulty with.
I am a 17 year old college student looking to help people Birmingham area b32 with there GCSEs in psychology PE or science and also primary school SATS my methods I will use will be dependant on the student so what ever method is best suited to them.
