-Are run online using a fully interactive and easy to use online classroom. -Are well planned which means better and and happier learning. -Include either an overview or more detailed study of the topic, followed by assessment using various methods including past paper exam questions.
My method is learning fast and exercise enough. Every student is different so if you want to improve your level you have to practice as well. My lessons are based on a previous review about the theme that you need to study. In this case I usually asked some exercise to check also the method that you have already studied at school with your ordinary teacher.
Available to teach all sciences up to GCSE and chemistry / biochemistry to A-level. I use folklore and intriguiging contexts to engage students to master the fundamentals. I will help you to exceed your target grade by writing what examiners expect.
I am a second year chemistry student at the University of Bristol. I give lessons primarily to A Level and GSCE chemistry or maths students who either need a boost to help understanding and practice more, or anyone who wants to push themselves above and beyond.
I am a big believer in analogies. Once I find a fitting analogy that makes sense to my student I can make the most complex of topics fun, engaging and easily understood! All while keeping a close eye on the curriculum to ensure relevance.
I am a fourth year medical student, I can provide chemistry tuition up to GCSE level. I am flexible in my approach to tutoring in that I am happy to cover theory of chemistry, go over exam questions and practise exam technique, or answer specific questions they student has.
I start by meeting the student and parents for an informal 45 minute discussion free of charge. Then the work begins - a mixture diagnosis and prioritising work accordingly with an emphasis of the student completing a range of questions.
- I'm a fairly laid back student who believes that repetition is the key to success. You don't practice until you get it right, but until you can't get it wrong. - I am happy to tailor each tutorial to the needs of the student but I will generally go through the theory of a given topic and then test it using past paper questions.
I adapt my teaching style to meet pupils’ needs, priding myself on my ability to think quickly, flexibly and outside the box where helpful. A typical lesson with me involves discussing ideas closely in relation to current schoolwork whilst also asking and answering more complex, tangential questions.
I always start with a free assessment, to get to know you and devise a topic list to work through. I tailor the sessions to you, but a typical session will start with me helping you understand school work that you have not been able to complete, or mistakes you are unable to rectify. I then will deliver a tailored session to you, working through the list of topics you need help with.
I am 19 so I am looking for students who are between 10 and 15, as I think my methodology would suit them better. I try explaining the concepts in different ways so they can be really understood and them I suggest that the student practices by himself, so we can later solve problems that may arise when the student is working on his own.
I am offering lessons to students in Maths and Chemistry up to and including A-level. I use an approach of working through questions together to gain a deeper understanding of what will help the particular student to excel, and suggesting certain revision techniques tailored to the student.
Typical lesson plan: 1. Review exercise questions that students attempted at home 2. Teach a new chapter/ concept using simple explanation and graphs 3. Answer any questions students have on the topic 4. Work on some exercise questions together and understand what the examiners want 5.
I plan to ask in advance what areas you wish to cover over what period, so I can organise a timetable to cover everything you desire (or we can play it by ear and go through the work you have covered in school week by week!).
My teaching method involves staying close to the specification to ensure all necessary knowledge is learnt, but also trying to get students to gain a deeper, genuine understanding of the ideas. I also like to coach them in answering exam questions concisely to ensure full marks, resulting in excellent performance in exams.
I am a first year biology student at the university of Bristol. I studied biology, maths and physics at a-level, achieving high grades in all three. I believe in a calm approach to teaching and engaging the interest of my tutees to enhance creativity and enjoyment surrounding the subject.
I'm able to help students get help in their Maths and Chemistry exams up to A-level exams.
Learning chemistry is fun...I love applying different approaches based on each one of my student ability making sure we find the best way of learning.
Hello, My name is Sandra Johnson. I'm a medicine applicant waiting for entry in October. I would like to give online lessons to students who are studying Biology or Chemistry either at GCSE or A-level or maths at GCSE level.
My style of teaching is focused on process of learning rather than on the correctness of the answer. One important thing I have learned along the way is to be patient and provide appropriate 'think' time. Ask leading questions to help students learn and understand the material. Also, relate successful study strategies to the tutee.
I specialise in teaching students who have missed lessons and/or are unsure of course content then have already learned. I use visual aids to help deliver or clarify the content I am teaching. Lesson structure typically involves a brief recap of the previous lesson, followed by content delivery with visual aids.
Having recently completed my A levels, I know how tough they can be. My best methodology would be working on foundational skills in maths and physics and then building on them to tackle the harder topics of the course.
I believe it's important to listen to the student's experience when initially establishing the appropriate strategy and intervention. Through this I am able to work out precisely what and where the student has been struggling, or how they would like more help. Talking this through also gives me an idea of how the student learns and processes information most effectively.
My teaching method is first to understand the level of knowledge the other person is on. From that can be built the foundation for how to understand higher concepts of science. The more inexperienced the student is the more analogies to real life are needed to teach the subject, and as they progress the less they are required and knowledge can be further built upon knowledge.
I offer supportive and constructive assistance to anyone looking for help with their Chemistry up to A level. I am a flexible teacher and will adapt my lesson structure to fit the exact requirements of the student in order to help them improve as much as possible. I look forward to speaking to anyone who feels that I might be able to help them with their studies.
My teachings will be done through notes and mostly through questions you will likely get in the exams. A friendly and interactive approach will prevail through our lessons. I will do my best to make my students get a complete grasp of each topic we will discuss and work. It will be my greatest pleasure to help my students to the best of my abilities.
As a fully qualified secondary school science teacher my methodology is structured and includes regular assessment. We can study entire topics or pin point areas of weakness. Following this, I follow up with assesssment to check understanding as well as the ability to access all marks available in a mark scheme e.g. six mark question practice.
I am an A level student currently studying Maths, Chemistry and Art A level. I give GCSE tutoring for maths and chemistry. I achieved both an A* in Maths and Chemistry GCSE and I currently give tutoring in both the subjects in school. I normally try and give a basic understanding of the topic and reiterate your knowledge using past paper questions.
Hi, I have just completed my third year of an MSci degree in Chemistry at the University of Bristol and I am on track for a first class degree. I am able to tutor students from year 7 to A level in chemistry, maths and physics. It wasn't too long ago that I was sitting GCSE and A level exams myself so I understand the procedure very well and have good knowledge of exam technique.
I am a young research academic with a phD in organic chemistry and offer lessons, tutoring and consultancy to academic levels. My session structure is individually tailors to the student / client and aims to be as interactive as possible.
