Tailoring to the student's needs, I can support Mathematics and Physics learning from GCSE to AS and A2 level; Science, Chemistry and Biology to GCSE level. For the last nine years I have been tutoring full time. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I tutor Physics and Mathematics GCSE, AS and A2 levels, and Biology, Chemistry and Science GCSE.
I tutor A-level, GCSE and KS3 Chemistry and Biology. I achieved an A at AS-level in Physics, so can provide GCSE tutoring in this subject. Having also achieved an A at A-level for philosophy and ethics, I can tutor some of these modules too.
For maths tuition i find it best to go over past exam questions, finding issues that arise to work out where knowledge is laking or needs improving. Then from there we can focus on making sure that area is fully understood so that similar questions, and those using the same theory become a breeze.
The current A levels are incredibly content heavy and rely on so much more than just knowledge. My approach to exam preparation consists of teaching proper exam technique and utilising both the Feynman and Pomodoro techniques in an attempt to remove rote learning whilst increasing the students ability to concentrate for prolonged periods of time.
- Classes We run classes in the core subjects; English, Maths and Science for children aged 8 and upwards.
I approach topics my student finds difficult by using a whiteboard to visually draw out a step by step method. After teaching a method, I will then work through a number of exemplar questions with them until they feel confident to approach similar questions on their own.
I am a former Senior Lecturer with twenty years' tutoring experience covering from GCSE up to BSc. Usually I tutor on a 1:1 basis focusing on the topics students find most challenging. I am knowledgeable, competent, thorough, patient and understanding.
I teach all aspects of Science. For Physics, this includes forces, energy, electricity, heat, waves, radioactivity etc. For Chemistry, it's things like atomic structure, bonding, chemical reactions, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, acids and alkalis etc. But for Biology, it's often respiration, photosynthesis, digestion, circulation, the immune system etc.
I base my classes on the topics primarily on the exam board specification or beyond as necessary to suit the student's needs. I make sure to adjust the way I explain a topic to suit the student's learning style, being able to adapt my approach to teaching any topic. I utilise topic related past paper questions where appropriate to ensure a thorough understanding.
- Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach general Science and Maths, both primary and secondary up to and including GCSE. I also teach Biology A-level and Environmental Science A-level. I have several years experience in Special Educational Needs and can take those into account when teaching. - Tell me about your qualifications.
I go topic by topic and make sure the student has mastered the content and has plenty of practice in each topic before they move onto the next to ensure there are no gaps filled. I always encourage the student to practice, practice and practice as this is what gets you the A*.

- Classes Our qualified, experienced tutors tailor a personal study programme of theory seminars, skills-based workshops, and 1-to-1 lessons for exactly the topics that each student needs. We cover Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, at A Level, GCSE, 13+, 11+ and SATS.
I love teaching science to students in my unique way of breaking down complex concepts into manageable pieces, explaining everything in a clear, focused way.
My teaching is student centred and based around the needs of the student. I can teach all ability students from pre-GCSE up to A-level. As a tutor, I am charismatic, pragmatic, patient and resilient. I use a variety of ways to engage students, from electronic to traditional.
I am so enthusiastic about science, how it gives us knowledge, understanding, excitement of and even awe about our world - it's amazing! And I love supporting students gain and use knowledge and understanding so they reach their goals.
I like to determine the needs of my students before making a lesson plan. However, I believe understanding the basics of chemical structure and electron transfer is primordial to achieving a true understanding of Organic Chemistry. I can offer lessons pertaining to "intro to organic chemistry" or "organic chemistry 101".
I am an experienced IT professional working for an investment bank in London. I have a BSc in Chemistry and Computing and an MSc in Business Systems Analysis and Design. I am passionate about science especially my two favourite subjects chemistry and computing. I like to make my classes fun and interactive. I am happy to tutor from primary level up to secondary school.
Different people have different ways of revising (e.g. making mind maps, watching revision videos or reading straight from the textbook) as our brains work and retain information in various ways. I have previously had tutors for my studies so I know what a tutor should and should not do. I am here to help for the student so that they can ask questions that they necessarily cannot ask in class.
I will make maths easy for you because I know the easy methods to work through maths. I give lessons to students in my maths class and help them get through things they don’t understand. I will make every bit of maths understandable to you and I will get to know how you learn in order for you to learn in the most efficient way.
My lessons are tailored to suit each and every student dependent of their age, level and capabilities. I plan and organise lessons according to time and technique. I am able to tutor different ages, and exam boards. I systematically work with the child to achieve their goals and target, whilst following the national curriculum.
I'm a final year undergraduate with a years experience working on the research & development of polymer beads used in the treatment of liver cancer. Expected first class honours degree in Pharmaceutical and Chemical Sciences. I build lessons around what the student wants to learn (or particularly struggles with).
I consider myself to be very passionate, taking sciences and maths very seriously, and would put maximum enthusiasm into transferring my knowledge those that require it. Despite this I would be very respectful and not place unwanted expectations or pressure on anyone seeking my help.
