My name is Leah, I am a secondary student with high predicted grades and would like to use my skills, in my specialized subjects to help others learn especially with the increased knowledge expectancy, in current schooling qualifications. ie; GCSE's and functional skills.
My teaching method is to first have the students work through their set texts until they understand them and have developed an opinion. This involves a lot of class discussion of the text, as well as contextual research in order to broaden their understanding and engagement of the text.
My teaching method is to allow the student to be able to think for themselves and think about their approach to the topic, especially in creative writing. To approach this, I give a brief idea of what the examiner will be looking for during the exam/test and then show them examples of how it has been done before.
- Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach Maths, Science, English ICT - Tell me about your qualifications.
I teach primary school for a living and base my teaching around their needs. My teaching method is very visual, and is based creatively around humour and understanding. I find that this allows children to engage more with their learning, enabling them to better understand concepts and approach areas from a different view-point.
My approach to topics is to find out what each child already knows and then build upon that knowledge ensuring they are supporting the understanding they already have.
I have been teaching English for two years now. I am fresh out of learning which means I can relate to those still within education and the effort that it requires. I would love to help those that need it as much as I can.
I am a university student, and provides lessons to English students up to A-level and Maths students up to GCSE, in or around Rochdale, Oldham and Manchester. I can provide one-to-one feedback and help with any level within. I intent for my lessons to not only be fun and engaging but also rewarding for the pupil.
I have just graduated with a degree in Classical Studies from King's College London and have returned home to Manchester for a year to save up for my masters degree. I would be happy to give lessons to students of any age.
My teaching method is unique to the pupil and their needs.
I have a very holistic approach to teaching and through experience at schools, I have found each person has a different learning style so it’s important to apply the correct pedagogy.
My teaching philosophy is about structuring lessons to achieve identified learning outcomes.
My teaching method is to establish a base understanding in what is desired to be learnt, and then delve deep into the subject matter, understanding the subject inside out until it almost becomes second nature.
