I teach each student differently. Some students take their time to understand but once they grasp something they never forget whereas others are quick learners but can not retain that knowledge. So every student is different.
Content is important, as well as a deeper understanding of the concepts, so the students can apply their knowledge to different styles of questions. I believe the foundations of a student knowledge need to be secure and so continually tested, so it can be effectively applied.
My teaching method is to customise and adapt my way of teaching to suit the student best so the can excel
my name is courtney ill teach you what you need to know and it doesnt matter how long it takes to get there.if you struggle theres no point in struggling just ask we all struggle sometimes.
Hi, my name is Fima and I'm a maths enthusiast. Three words that best explain by teaching style: - Easy: There is a step by step process to whatever topic I teach. - Understandable: Due to the step by step process students are able to fully understand topics and answer textbook and exam style questions.
I am the son of a Maths teacher and I am currently studying History and Politics at the University of Nottingham.
- Classes Each lesson lasts for 80 minutes. Each child is put on an individual learning plan and as a result they are given individual work on the computer as well as written. - Ages and Levels Covered We cover ages 5- 18 years. However we now offer day classes to adults. We also cover all levels.
I am a medical sciences student studying at Bangor University, originally from Sandwell in the West Midlands. I use tutoring as a way of interacting with a wide variety of people, in order to enhance my current skill set. I am looking to give lessons for anyone that requires help with their mathematics, statistics and/or science education from Key Stage 1 to AS level.
I give lessons to any level of GCSE student. I teach through the use of past papers, previous problems and PowerPoint presentations. I am adapt at preserving and have resilience when it comes to tutoring students and I am used to being calm and patient when it comes to the child taking in and learning the information required.
My teaching style is flexible, as I understand what it's like to need help in something you don't quite understand. Therefore, I prefer to let my students ask the questions and choose the topics that they are struggling with, as this way they can improve on their weaknesses and hence maximise their grades.
Physics graduate, 2002. Highly experienced classroom practitioner since 2002. Very interactive. Very engaging. Confidence building. Patient. Calm. Methodical. Happy. Structured lessons. Resources created and provided to ensure fast progress in lesson.
I have an adaptable method but focus on making sure that lessons are engaging and so memorable. I would create powerpoints and go through question papers with the student, taking their input on how they prefer to learn, my goal is to become a teacher so I hope to be approachable enough to ensure they are learning.
I also give one to one support on homework or topics students are struggling on. I start tutoring by taking a test of the student to check where they are struggling. I also advice on websites and revision resources which I believe are helpful.
"Great knowledge comes from within yourself" and "Why fit in, when you were born to stand out". These are two of the quotes that I use to motivate my students and improve their confidence. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach, 11+, KS3, KS1 and KS2. I also do assessments and SATS practice as well - Tell me about your qualifications.
My method of teaching is to find out the way the individual learns the best for example it may be visually and then teach them that way
I love my current job, supporting 32 reception children and working one to one with two children with special education needs. I have discovered my vocation is to teach and tutoring would fit well with the degree I am doing.
Current student in BSc Mathematics at Wolverhampton university, now seeking to gain experience to help with the pursuit of a career in teaching. Hopefully can work with the student to find the best method of teaching for the individual to get the best results.
I hаve аn interаctive and “to the point” аpprоаch tо tutoring and learning which makes each lesson interesting and easier to “digest” while maintaining the academic focus and saving time for my students. Also, I am highly organized and have been very successful at helping my students with careful and systematic planning during stressful exam periods.
I am a Mechanical Engineer studied from the University of Leeds UK. I have my undergraduate in Production Engineering with honors. I have worked with different manufacturing companies. Recently I got my TESOL certification from International House London. My teaching methodology is student oriented and focused.
My teaching methodolgy is making my students practice a certain topic a few times until they understand the topic and when they can answer questions perfectly and feel very strong.
My main aim is to suit the pupils and tailor the lessons to their needs, whether that be help with homework or the extra push in Maths. I will keep the lessons focused to ensure a new key skill is learnt each time as well as making sure the pupil has understood before moving on. Lessons can be taught one to one or in groups.
I have only just started being a Mathematics Tutor but I have tutored a couple of people before. I would test the student first to know their strength and weaknesses and then turn their weaknesses into strengths. After I would test them every so often to see if they have progressed.
I give mathematics tuition to GCSE students for example, year 10/11 students. After taking a baseline of student level, I will create a plan to solve any problems a student may have and help to consolidate any knowledge already know. I am patient and very good going through any problems to help students resolve any issues that may arise.
I aim to follow the requirements of the current national curriculum and tailor my delivery to the requests of the student. I use a variety of resources to include Internet resources , exam board sample resources.
- Classes We offer Maths and English for all ages - Ages and Levels Covered Classes from 3 to 93 - Opening Times Wednesday 4.30 until 6.30 Saturday 9.30 until 12.
- Classes The Kumon Maths and English programmes do not follow the national curriculum but complement it beautifully, working in a logical sequential way, to develop mathematics and English skills. Children are given work according to their specific needs and ability, working at a pace tailored for them.
My teaching method is going over a topic in a way that they will remember the knowledge and make sure it stays in their heads. I will try a range of ways as I know not all ways work for all children.
My teaching method involves identifying all of your weaknesses and approaching each one of your weaknesses at a time and working on that topic in a step by step manner. Based on my past tutoring experiences, my students have learned more effectively from this method.
My aim is to prepare interactive lessons to help engage students. Using the right specification, I will explore each topic, ensuring that the student has a thorough understanding before progressing. One of the things that worked quite well for me when I was doing my GCSE and A-level exams was going through past papers and I plan to incorporate this into my lessons as well.
My teaching method is tutoring students for the exams. Ensuring students know all the exam material and by going through many past papers because practice makes perfect and it was what I did during my time at school.
