I am currently studying Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College London. I have achieved an A* in both A-level and iGCSE Mathematics. I have been an A student all my life and I achieved 3A*s and an A in A-levels and 8A*s and 2As in iGCSEs. I know how to excel in exams and am able to pass my secret to my students. I will make it easier for my student to understand the subject.
My main focuses as a tutor are patience and practice; both for myself and my students. There are very few matters that cannot be understood or over come with a matter of time and commitment. I believe the best way that a tutor can help their students is by calmly reassuring them and providing alternative ways of visualising the content and then helping drill this in through practice examples.
My aim would be very much to focus on particular topics that the student is struggling with (I know how frustrating it is to be paying to be taught something that you already feel confident with). I would be happy to help students go over particular questions that they have had in homework that they are struggling with and go through the method of answering this question and alike ones in depth.
I am passionate about teaching and assisting a motivated student in achieving their academic goals. I obtained a Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying and construction management from the Sheffield Hallam University. During my studies, I conducted personal training for colleagues and juniors alike I love passing my experience and knowledge in mathematics, programming, networking etc.
Mathematics specialist tutor, Bsc Hons degree from a Russell Group University (currently teaching 11-18 in an academy). I have over 20 years of tutoring experience with students across the age and ability spectrum.
As an experienced and qualified professional I can offer personalised lessons after initial assessment. Although I am a dyslexia tutor, I am able to teach all abilities. I offer a multi-sensory approach to learning. - Which subject(s) do you teach? Maths, English and Science. English as an additional language. - Tell me about your qualifications.
For the past 12 years I have worked as a Primary School Teacher. A recent move to the area has meant leaving the school I was at for many years and I feel now is a good time to start tuition allowing me to utilise my outstanding teaching skills. - Which subject(s) do you teach? 11+ (Transfer test), Key Stage 2 Maths, Key Stage 2 English. - Tell me about your qualifications.
I'm an experienced teacher; having been a module demonstrator at the University of Exeter, a GCSE science/maths tutor and teaching Kung Fu. I start by looking at the syllabus of the students course and going through the theory required to ensure understanding of the principles required.
One to one study support or buddy tutoring for those who need to learn with their friends/another student. Study sessions tailored to the individual to cover at high level all components of the curriculum and more detailed study support for the areas that need to be further developed. Learning at the student's individual pace and structured learning plans.
I like to implement my own study techniques when tutoring, as it allows both the tutee and myself to work efficiently and productively. I'd set goals and this would give us something to work to throughout the year. I'm also a firm believer in practice makes perfect! And so, where possible, I'll always encourage the student to go away and practice in their own time by giving them homework.
My method as a tutor is bringing the subject into real world context relatable to the student. This direct personal connection is something that is unattainable in a larger classroom setting. I help the students understand how the maths work rather than just a set route of how to solve equations, thus allowing them to solve similar problems when given in a different format.
I approach each section of the course by firstly testing for previous knowledge. Based on the results of this test i then fill in any gaps that are present in the topic (or by fully teaching the section, if there is a lack of previous knowledge). Once taught i will then set questions on the topic for the student to complete to make certain the section is understood.
I am an A level student who has recently completed my GCSEs having attained the highest possible grades in all of my maths qualifications. I am looking to teach anyone up to GCSE level in order to help them improve their maths skills whilst improving their mental maths in particular.
I have a Mathematics Degree from the University of Bath. I worked in IT in various roles to do with charity databases for about 13 years before having children. I tutor Maths as it is something that I very much enjoy as well as being something that fits in well around the family.
I am a year 11 student who has just finished his GCSEs. I believe that I can help tutor any secondary school student in Maths, Chemistry and Physics. I have predicted grades of A in Physics, A* in Chemistry and 8 (A* equivalent) in Maths so I am certainly capable of teaching. I am patient and resourceful adapting to different people learning styles to help them to achieve their full potential.

The most important thing is to understand what the aim of the lesson. What are the main areas the student would like to improve. It's a two way process in which we can both understand what works for the specific student.
My name is Andrei. Maths and Physics were always my preferred subjects. This is reflected through my results as well as in my career. I would like to share my passion for the above with anyone interested and explain the above in simple words so everybody understands the principles. I am calm and patient and able to build a basic understanding from scratches.
What the teachers do wrong at school is that they assume the student has understood or remembers certain topics and they take them for granted because they have a program to be completed by the end of the year. I know very well the feeling because I recently graduated as a MEng.
My name is Zareen, I am 22 years old and currently a fourth year dental student. I have always loved Maths because there is only one correct answer and the sense of accomplishment I get when solving an equation or sum correctly is phenomenal! Being able to pass this feeling on to the younger generation is a gift. I am very quick to suss out the child and adjust my teaching methods accordingly.
I'm a sixth-form student currently studying Maths, Physics and Chemistry at A-Level. I achieved A* grades in these three subjects in my GCSEs, and I know the importance of understanding key concepts in comparison to memorizing facts. My lessons will be student-centered, and I will coach and facilitate student learning by playing an equally active role as the student themselves.
12 A-A*s including an A* in Maths Currently doing Mathematics (statistics), Chemistry and Biology at Watford Grammar Access to excellent resources for all ages from Primary to GCSE level. Will spend first 20 mins with students assessing their weaknesses and devise a plan in order to work effeciently.
I am willing to tutor anyone up to A level standard, and I approach each person differently based on how they learn, whether that be memory, or visual or interactive. I will help anyone that needs it, and my main aim is to increase confidence and will guide individuals to better their understanding.
My teaching method starts with gaining a good understanding of where the student is currently and his/her strengths/weaknesses in the subject taught. I like to determine whether current difficulties are based on a lack of knowledge in particular areas or confusion and misunderstanding of the processes involved.
I base my lessons on what the child needs to approve on in a simple but educational way I believe a child cant learn from staring at a text book all day so i teach with lots of diagrams and physical practice which can be used in everyday life
By going through the primary stage myself I have come to the conclusion that by understanding the basics first and slowly building up your knowledge, step by step you can understand the topics in more depth and are able to apply this knowledge to harder questions. I am able to help with practise questions as well as consolidation on each topic.
