I like to make the academic subjects relevant by introducing videos and ideas that help students understand how they can use the subject in real life.
I'm a sixth-form student currently studying Maths, Physics and Chemistry at A-Level. I achieved A* grades in these three subjects in my GCSEs, and I know the importance of understanding key concepts in comparison to memorizing facts. My lessons will be student-centered, and I will coach and facilitate student learning by playing an equally active role as the student themselves.
My name is Zareen, I am 22 years old and currently a fourth year dental student. I have always loved Maths because there is only one correct answer and the sense of accomplishment I get when solving an equation or sum correctly is phenomenal! Being able to pass this feeling on to the younger generation is a gift. I am very quick to suss out the child and adjust my teaching methods accordingly.
Fun, creative and friendly tutor who likes to understand the kids and realise there are many ways to solve a problem and therefore figure out the best way for each child to do it in order to maximise their understanding
12 A-A*s including an A* in Maths Currently doing Mathematics (statistics), Chemistry and Biology at Watford Grammar Access to excellent resources for all ages from Primary to GCSE level. Will spend first 20 mins with students assessing their weaknesses and devise a plan in order to work effeciently.
I am an A level student who has recently completed my GCSEs having attained the highest possible grades in all of my maths qualifications. I am looking to teach anyone up to GCSE level in order to help them improve their maths skills whilst improving their mental maths in particular.
I base my classes on the needs of my students and my general methodology is explaining how to tackle a problem and then providing examples and subsequently setting questions
I achieved A* at GCSE maths and an A in my AS exam this summer. I am currently predicted an A in my final A Levels. I aim to structure the lessons around each child's individual needs. This includes practicing exam style questions for their level in order to ensure they have understood the topics they want to cover.
My method as a tutor is bringing the subject into real world context relatable to the student. This direct personal connection is something that is unattainable in a larger classroom setting. I help the students understand how the maths work rather than just a set route of how to solve equations, thus allowing them to solve similar problems when given in a different format.
Primary students. Make maths as fun and easy as possible to ensure that they enjoy their lessons and learn. I use question sheets, some of which I create myself. Before moving onwards to another topic that needs to be taught, I ensure the child has understood and learnt what has previously been taught.
Hi Thanks for your inquiry for a tutor for your child. I am glad that you have come to the right place. On this occasion I would like to introduce myself to you so that you may consider me to tutor your son. My Name is Jeganathan Kumar . I am a qualified maths teacher with over 12+ years of Maths teaching and maths tutoring experience.
Friendly style with experience of completing 11+ & public exams. Perfect for students preparing for GCSEs or AS Levels requiring assistance with science subjects. I provide help with specific topics by building an understanding which then leads on to problem solving and application of that knowledge.
I teach mainly by explaining ideas and then using examples that students can understand in order to help build up knowledge. I then have students practise these concepts by using a variety of examples and practice questions in order to familiarise students with new ideas.
My teaching method starts with gaining a good understanding of where the student is currently and his/her strengths/weaknesses in the subject taught. I like to determine whether current difficulties are based on a lack of knowledge in particular areas or confusion and misunderstanding of the processes involved.
I tutor KS2, KS3 and GCSE students. I find that practice makes perfect and I personally learn by understanding the content by looking at how it works and more specifically why that is the only method that works. When tutoring I ensure that I reward the individual when they try and then they can reward themselves when they get it right.
I have a very simplistic but effective method. We work our way from basics, establishing a sound knowledge of underlying ideologies, as we progress, teaching style and session structure will be personally tailored to each individual based on their capabilities and performance.
I am currently an A-Level student studying Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry, predicted 4 A*'s. I teach in an interactive and engaging way, such that the student understands and learns the topics effectively. As I am a student, I am able to relate to younger pupils, enabling my teaching style to be appealing.
I am able to tutor any age and ability with flexible working hours during the week and weekend. I will provide a personalised approach to your learning and always aim make our sessions enjoyable and targeted to your curriculum so that you can take the most from them.

I have completed my second year of university studying mathematics. I will give lessons to children of all ages but in particular those studying for their 11+, GCSEs and A-level. I am only able to teach from July-September and in school holidays.
I teach flexibly on Saturdays, therefore I teach around 1 hour and I am very pleased to teach self motivated students who have high interests and knowledge in Maths. If you feel Maths is not the subject for you, don't worry I will guarantee you will start liking it and ensure you get the best results possible.
For most of the students, math is a scary thing. At first approach, they face the math problems from the platform which can be solved very nice and tricky way. Currently, I am studying at the University of Buckingham on Applied Computing where programming shows me the different angle to solve different problems.
I am passionate about children learning and believe the key is to start early so children can sustain their knowledge in order to help them with their future. I have high expectations of children and will support them achieve their goal. I strive to ensure lessons give children an experience which is memorable and engaging.
Following initial assessments, I can identify the areas of the curriculum to work on at KS3 and GCSE levels. The lessons include an overview of the theory behind each topic including fact sheets. The key to success in Science is to then practise numerous and varied exam style questions consolidating the understanding of the subject.
I am an experienced professor in both direct (biology, chemistry, physics) and Applied Sciences (Public Health, Environmental Health at levels from GCSE (both old and 9-1 syllabi), iGCSE/IB/ AS & A Levels/University Level and love to teach scientific disciplines.
I am a first year Physics Student at King's College London. I have previously Studied GCSE's and A-levels. At A-levels i took Maths, Physics and Chemistry with some modules in Further Maths. I would describe lessons i give to be full of lots of examples and practice and i am flexible on the pace a student wants to learn at.
I base my classes on establishing deeper understanding of topics and working on identifying and rectifying any gaps in knowledge. This sets students up for ultimate success at GCSE and beyond, allowing them to easily decipher the increasingly wordy and challenging questions come exam season.
From previously taking on Maths and Chemistry at GCSE (and then as an A level), I've learnt various techniques from my teachers, family and friends which simplify difficult problems.
Can provide tuition from primary to A level. Initially, will assess how the individual learns best and try to tailor lessons according. Will try to guide student to the answer, rather than telling them outright, as I believe it is important to understand how the answer is derived.
