Every student is unique and I seek to tailor my teaching style to suit their way of learning. I can create a relaxed, enjoyable but also challenging learning environment for students to maximise their learning potential.
In mathematics, I approach each topic by learning the rules and steps required in order to solve a certain problem. This is exactly what I would expect my student to be able to do as well; with the right guidance, this can be achieved. Lesson Structure: 1. Talk student through the topic and explain the concepts and rules needed to solve the problems at hand. 2.
I have a Bachelors with Honours Degree in Mathematics and can teach the following topics: Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Arithmetic, Analysis (Real and Complex), Number Theory, Logic, Set Theory, Differential Equations (Ordinary and Partial), Linear Algebra, Basic Statistics and Probability, Numerical Methods and Knot Theory (which I did my Bachelors dissertation on).
I'm very friendly as a tutor and I'm not too strict, I like to have a friendly and fun environment in which learning doesn't feel like a chore. During lessons I like to go over the things that the student doesn't fully understand before taking it back to basics and going over that part. Once that's done I like to go over some questions together before letting them try alone.
I like to first build a strong foundation for my students and slowly introduce more difficult concepts as they become more confident.
I provide group as well as individual tuition .
I usually plan my lesson in advance. I prepare the topic that would be covered during the lesson. I use board to explain the topic with example. Encourage student to ask questions. Do some exercise to make sure student have good understanding about the topic and give them some homework at the end of the lesson. I also provide feedback on their homework.
I always try to engage my students as much as possible, and endeavour to allow them to discover things themselves
I explain kids through textbooks, online sheets, homework and videos that will make it easier to understand and I use many other ways to make children learn the subject and also provide them support and help when they need it.
At first I give students a brief meaning of the topic and some key definitions, I then go through some examples with them so they understand the topic more. We then go through the theory of the topic more and maybe look at some past exam questions or more challenging questions for that particular topic.
Going through how the student learns best first, then concentrating on the weaker aspects of the students knowledge. In my opinion practice and going through past paper questions are key, but these are to be used after the methodology is embedded into the mind. With sciences such as Biology I concentrate on the key processes and cycles alongside the maths and terminology.
In my view every single teacher needs a variety of different teaching methods in their theoretical teaching bag to pull from depending on the lesson, the students, and things as seemingly minute as the time the class is and the subject.
Each lesson will be based specifically on the students needs and and wants. Each lesson will have an objective which will be met by the end of the session.
My teaching method is to what needs my student, where he (she) needs a helpv in math in that lesson.
Mostly I prefer one-to-one sessions with my students starting with their weak points, i always want my students to be one step forward in excelling their maths skills according to their curriculum.
A highly motivated and dedicated student Of mechanical engineering with extensive tutoring experience in Physics, Chemistry and mathematics. I’ve been teaching these subjects privately to GCSE/O-LEVEL and Alevel students from 4 years now helping 100's of students achieve their academic goals. I on average manage to get my students achieve 2 grades higher than their predicted grades..
I like to teach sudents independantly. I go through the content first to then practice questions from past papers or textbooks.
My teaching method is based on getting the tutee to understand the base concept first and then be able to apply that to questions. This is vital in the new style of GCSEs as they require a lot more thinking for yourself and applied knowledge, having done them myself I will be able to provide key tips and techniques.
I have past experice in tutoring students who have acheived good GCSE grades. I have done so by only focusing my tutoring on the topics students do not understand. I am quick to get to the point but do so by asking questions that allow students to think and try to get to an answer themselves.
I am passionate about teaching Maths to younger people of all skills and abilities. With my natural skill in teaching, combined with desire to support and be patient during the learning process, I am able to help young people in grasping the concepts of Primary and Secondary Maths and thereby achieving much improved results.
My teaching methodology is reading, repetition, examination and self analysis. This is a four step method that helps the student achieve better and understand of his or her weaknesses and strengths.
My teaching method varies on each student. This is because I feel that everyone has individual needs to be catered for.
I want to understand how much each student knows and then go over each topic they are struggling in.
My teaching method involves easy to understand explanations that develop as the student progresses.
My teaching skills are defined by my students who understand the concepts... The students learn the basics by reasoning the given topics .....
My prefer teaching method is to teach face to face whether it is individually or classroom based. I believe it is important to take each pupil through the understanding path so that when understood, the knowledge can be applied in any similar area.
My teaching method is structured, and when it comes to Math it's all about practice! I strongly believe for a mathematics student to do well all he/she must do is plenty of practice questions in order to boost confidence, so with any new concept taught, I always prepare a number of questions in order for students to reinforce what they have learned.
My teaching method is tailored to suit my students needs. I base my teaching on the key objectives of the courses requirement and exam papers so that the student is well prepared.
I like to make sure that the easier topics and the basics are covered first and then move on to harder topics so the student can have more time learning it, also I believe in regular assessments to measure my students progress.
I believe that each child is an individual so ensure my teaching is tailored according to their specific needs in accordance with the national curriculum objectives. Children respond to positive encouragement to grow their confidence so they can achieve their full potential.
