I am a 23 year old BSc Finance graduate with first class honours. I have chosen to do tuition to carry on my passion for education.
Each person learns differently. I use a combination of different techniques from active learning based on material provided during lessons. I review a copy of the student's syllabus and plan an agenda for next session accordingly. I focus of developing students and helping them to reach their potential.
I am currently awaiting my gcse results and hoping to achieve high grades. I intend to make learning fun but involving maths games to encourage learning. My lessons will be adapted to suit the students needs and will cover the topics in which they struggle with the most first.
A pleasure to teach all students who require lessons from 11 plus, GCSE all the way to degree level. My goal is to make the student enjoy learning and for them to earn the highest grades possible. My teaching style depends on the student and subject or assignment. After a discussion about aims and expectations I will assess the student's individual needs.
In my opinion, structure is so important when it comes to learning. I think its imperative to set out our objectives clearly and use examples alongside explanations to make sure that topics are fully understood. The key to Maths is practice, practice, practice so seeing plenty of examples is a priority.
I have recently graduated with a Masters in Earth Sciences from the University of Oxford. I am offering tutoring in Maths, Physics and Geology to A-level, and Biology and Chemistry to GCSE. I am an enthusiastic and friendly person and will help students however they see fit or works for them.
The way I like to teach is by treating each topic as though my student has never learnt it before. That way, I can go through the methods required thoroughly and pin point where my student is having difficulties. After that I will go through some examples before letting my student go through some questions alone and offer hints when I see them struggling.
My main teaching method is one to one tution where i will stand up and explain the method in which i would like my student to complete the work, once i have done this we will do examples until i think he/she has understood me, followed by numerous practise questions and exam papers to be completed independently which can then be used to do corrections together, focusing on what the student has...
My general work habit is to test them to find their weaknesses in their subjects and then tailor a lesson and questions to their required level. I also usually start all lessons with covering stuff they have either just covered in school or they think they need to work on. By starting lessons this way I believe it reinforces what they learn at school better than school homework can.
From my experience working in a school I understand the need to teach to an individual so will hopefully be able to come up with fun and creative ways to encourage and improve learning
A budding Mathematician, I achieved 11 A*s (inc. Maths) at GCSE level and have a place to study PPE at Warwick this year. I encourage participation and discussion of the topic, as well as relating Maths back to the real world.
I prefer to teach Maths in topics, as this is how I learnt it. I teach content and the methods first, then I like to set exercises to be completed. If there are then any queries they will be answered, then challenge is set.
Hey everyone! My name is Kayvon Taee and I am a mixed english-iranian student who would like to give lessons to people who are studying chemistry/mathematics for their GCSEs and A-levels! Simply put, I structure lessons by: 1.
I find that the key to learning is to discover what works for the individual. I try to approach new lessons as an initial brainstorm which we create new ways to approach each problem and to establish a solid foundation to build on. However, the most important thing to establish is a calm, comfortable environment where the student is relaxed and can ejoy learning.
My teaching method is to be very interactive with my student at all times but also to test their knowledge so I can get a clear understanding of what they are struggling with. I usually like to start of with much easier topics then we can work our way to the harder ones but if you put your mind to it nothing is hard but more of a challenge.
My name is Molly. I am a final year dental student, studying and london and living in Orpington. Able to tutor primary, secondary and A level students in mathematics, physics, biology. I have studied all of the above to A level, achieving A* and As. Lessons to be based around student need.
I provide lessons to students wanting to progress in their mathematics. I am very easy going and have great reasoning skills. I feel your child will attain their goals with good understanding.
We start with the basics of one topic and work our way up. Once we've mastered that we move on to the next and work our way up. Eventually we can master everything together! It will be an amazing learning journey. We can also cover any homework the student is struggling with. Hopefully I can help you to enjoy maths as much as I do.
My teacher methods involve learning individual topics in small bitesize pieces in a creative way, whether that be through songs, images, flashcards or A4 sheets. Students will then apply the knowledge learned to practice questions in order to understand how to answer exam questions.
- Classes Initially there will be an information meeting (usually at your home) that lasts about an hour. It gives families an opportunity to find out more about the Kumon programme and ensures that everyone is happy with what they will have to do for the student to get the best possible benefits out of their Kumon study.
I base my teaching on specific areas which the student has been struggling on in class. I will give them a practice question, which they will have some time to complete on their own, before I ask them to explain their methodology to me. If the answer is correct, I will show them a better way to do it, or simply increase the difficulty.
I am an A Level student currently studying Maths and Further Maths in sixth form, I was able to achieve a grade 9 at GCSE level maths and I have experience with the new exams since I sat them and am therefore able to provide with first hand experience of useful practice methods and resources.
My teaching method is based around teaching the content and practicing it a lot through exam papers. I would like to teach maths for children who are joining secondary or is preparing for the 11+.
When I teach a subject, I ensure that you understand all the basics perfectly. When you have a solid base to work from, it is easier to go on a logical journey to harder topics as it will make sense in your head. It will become as natural as counting which means you will remember it and apply it easily.
I have successfully tutored in GCSE Maths, Science and English, as well as for the 11+. Furthermore, I taught on a weekly basis, for a year, at a local primary school. My academic record is excellent (I achieved 10 A*s at GCSE and am currently awaiting my IB results).

I am incredibly enthusiastic about my subject and aim to instil that same passion in my students. The most effective learning begins with enjoyment. I like to attempt to tackle one topic per session. To begin we build knowledge through examples in order to gain skills that help us tackle more challenging questions at the end of the session.
