I am more of a facilitator; my aim is to create more independent learners. I use differenciation in my classroom to tap into the need of all my learners. this methodology is used during lesson time (by questioning), during activity time (by task).
I find that the key to learning is to discover what works for the individual. I try to approach new lessons as an initial brainstorm which we create new ways to approach each problem and to establish a solid foundation to build on. However, the most important thing to establish is a calm, comfortable environment where the student is relaxed and can ejoy learning.
I tutor one to one and to small groups in a warm and welcoming environment. I have great empathy and really get to know my pupils, tailoring a program of learning to meet individual needs. Learners build confidence and achieve their true potential. - Which subject(s) do you teach? 11+ Exam preparation Maths and English - Tell me about your qualifications.
Before a tutorial, I will ask a student to tell me areas they are struggling with or would like me to cover in particular. I will begin the tutorial with a brief run through of chosen topics, making sure to highlight key equations or concepts, going into depth with parts the student highlights as problem areas. After this, we will typically run through practice exam questions.
I prefer to teach Maths in topics, as this is how I learnt it. I teach content and the methods first, then I like to set exercises to be completed. If there are then any queries they will be answered, then challenge is set.
My teaching method is to be very interactive with my student at all times but also to test their knowledge so I can get a clear understanding of what they are struggling with. I usually like to start of with much easier topics then we can work our way to the harder ones but if you put your mind to it nothing is hard but more of a challenge.
I am currently a prospective undergraduate student in medicine and am able to offer lessons to primary school children in maths and non-verbal reasoning skills. I am more than happy to help children preparing for the KS1 SATs and 11+ (both GL and CEM boards), alongside general maths study to improve your child's overall level in the subject.
As an A level student who has achieved 9 A/A* grades in their GCSEs, I have used every opportunity I am given to help younger students to prepare for their 11+ and GCSE examinations. I have always had a passion for mathematics and therefore enjoy mentoring younger students in order for them to improve their confidence in their ability to tackle some of the toughest examination style questions.
My aproach is teaching the methods and topics that are covered at school which are on the curriculum. I go over methods used at school to help children gain a better understanding.
My main teaching method for maths is past paper questions and going over certain topics found difficult within the past paper in an individualistic way
I tend to start by introducing the methodology and testing the methodology as my student would be tested to boost confidence and understanding on their part
I provide lessons to students wanting to progress in their mathematics. I am very easy going and have great reasoning skills. I feel your child will attain their goals with good understanding.

A self-driven and focused individual with Excellent mathematics and analytical skills. I am looking to take student working towards a GCSE in Mathematics and A Levels. I believe in teaching the fundamentals and then practising a lot of questions. I believe in Interactive learning and Learning a cool relaxed method makes knowledge stick.
I base my teaching on specific areas which the student has been struggling on in class. I will give them a practice question, which they will have some time to complete on their own, before I ask them to explain their methodology to me. If the answer is correct, I will show them a better way to do it, or simply increase the difficulty.
To encourage the best results, I base my teaching on practise and variation. This consists of an abundance of practise papers to make students familiar with the challenges they will face.
Hey everyone! My name is Kayvon Taee and I am a mixed english-iranian student who would like to give lessons to people who are studying chemistry/mathematics for their GCSEs and A-levels! Simply put, I structure lessons by: 1.
In my opinion, structure is so important when it comes to learning. I think its imperative to set out our objectives clearly and use examples alongside explanations to make sure that topics are fully understood. The key to Maths is practice, practice, practice so seeing plenty of examples is a priority.
We start with the basics of one topic and work our way up. Once we've mastered that we move on to the next and work our way up. Eventually we can master everything together! It will be an amazing learning journey. We can also cover any homework the student is struggling with. Hopefully I can help you to enjoy maths as much as I do.
My teaching methodology is an experience based method and breaking down the information into basic concepts. I approach each topic on what you will need to know and then challenge based on the level you wish to achieve. I give lessons to those of GCSE level.
For my first lesson, I will test the individual to see what areas need more work and I will tailor my lessons around it. I will also make sure the grades in the other topics will be upkept. Every tutee will be taught with a range of resources.
I am a University student, who gives lessons to A-Level and GCSE students in Maths, Physics and Chemistry, as well teaching Maths for any level below GCSE(e.g SATS, 11+, KS3, KS2). I as a teacher work hard to understand how my student learns most efficiently, whether that be through doing lots of questions, a more visual or practical approach.
SKILLS • Using military experiences as Royal Army Medical Corps (combat medic) and Royal Engineer to motivate learners. • Using significant scientific experiences to provide inspirational scientific stretch and challenge for all students. • Publishing scientific papers (over 84 authored publications).
I have successfully tutored in GCSE Maths, Science and English, as well as for the 11+. Furthermore, I taught on a weekly basis, for a year, at a local primary school. My academic record is excellent (I achieved 10 A*s at GCSE and am currently awaiting my IB results).
- Classes Standard Membership - - Up to 2 tuition sessions per week. - Mapped to the National Curriculum. - A maths and English course created for your child's individual needs. - Parent feedback at the end of every session. - Regular in-depth Parent Meetings to discuss your child's progress. - No booking required - attend at any time during our opening hours.
I like to tailor my sessions to the individual needs of each student and whether it's finding exercises on particular topics or working on exam technique, I will find what works best.
My main teaching method is one to one tution where i will stand up and explain the method in which i would like my student to complete the work, once i have done this we will do examples until i think he/she has understood me, followed by numerous practise questions and exam papers to be completed independently which can then be used to do corrections together, focusing on what the student has...
My teaching method is yet to be improved by experience, as I like to insure those learners understand each topic in depth
From my experience working in a school I understand the need to teach to an individual so will hopefully be able to come up with fun and creative ways to encourage and improve learning
A budding Mathematician, I achieved 11 A*s (inc. Maths) at GCSE level and have a place to study PPE at Warwick this year. I encourage participation and discussion of the topic, as well as relating Maths back to the real world.
