To encourage the best results, I base my teaching on practise and variation. This consists of an abundance of practise papers to make students familiar with the challenges they will face.
I will approach topics as the students need, focusing on particular areas that they may struggle with and going over any topics they struggled to understand in school. I will do this by explaining the work and helping them practice using simple examples then adding some more complicated questions while explaining the steps.
I am more of a facilitator; my aim is to create more independent learners. I use differenciation in my classroom to tap into the need of all my learners. this methodology is used during lesson time (by questioning), during activity time (by task).
I find that the key to learning is to discover what works for the individual. I try to approach new lessons as an initial brainstorm which we create new ways to approach each problem and to establish a solid foundation to build on. However, the most important thing to establish is a calm, comfortable environment where the student is relaxed and can ejoy learning.
My teaching methodology is an experience based method and breaking down the information into basic concepts. I approach each topic on what you will need to know and then challenge based on the level you wish to achieve. I give lessons to those of GCSE level.
I prefer to teach Maths in topics, as this is how I learnt it. I teach content and the methods first, then I like to set exercises to be completed. If there are then any queries they will be answered, then challenge is set.
For my first lesson, I will test the individual to see what areas need more work and I will tailor my lessons around it. I will also make sure the grades in the other topics will be upkept. Every tutee will be taught with a range of resources.
My teaching method is to be very interactive with my student at all times but also to test their knowledge so I can get a clear understanding of what they are struggling with. I usually like to start of with much easier topics then we can work our way to the harder ones but if you put your mind to it nothing is hard but more of a challenge.
I am currently a prospective undergraduate student in medicine and am able to offer lessons to primary school children in maths and non-verbal reasoning skills. I am more than happy to help children preparing for the KS1 SATs and 11+ (both GL and CEM boards), alongside general maths study to improve your child's overall level in the subject.
As an A level student who has achieved 9 A/A* grades in their GCSEs, I have used every opportunity I am given to help younger students to prepare for their 11+ and GCSE examinations. I have always had a passion for mathematics and therefore enjoy mentoring younger students in order for them to improve their confidence in their ability to tackle some of the toughest examination style questions.
I tend to start by introducing the methodology and testing the methodology as my student would be tested to boost confidence and understanding on their part
A self-driven and focused individual with Excellent mathematics and analytical skills. I am looking to take student working towards a GCSE in Mathematics and A Levels. I believe in teaching the fundamentals and then practising a lot of questions. I believe in Interactive learning and Learning a cool relaxed method makes knowledge stick.
I base my teaching on specific areas which the student has been struggling on in class. I will give them a practice question, which they will have some time to complete on their own, before I ask them to explain their methodology to me. If the answer is correct, I will show them a better way to do it, or simply increase the difficulty.
Hey everyone! My name is Kayvon Taee and I am a mixed english-iranian student who would like to give lessons to people who are studying chemistry/mathematics for their GCSEs and A-levels! Simply put, I structure lessons by: 1.
I am a sixth form student, who gives lessons to GCSE students in Maths, Physics and Chemistry, as well teaching Maths for any level below GCSE(e.g SATS, 11+, KS3, KS2). I as a teacher work hard to understand how my student learns most efficiently, whether that be through doing lots of questions, a more visual or practical approach.
SKILLS • Using military experiences as Royal Army Medical Corps (combat medic) and Royal Engineer to motivate learners. • Using significant scientific experiences to provide inspirational scientific stretch and challenge for all students. • Publishing scientific papers (over 84 authored publications).
We start with the basics of one topic and work our way up. Once we've mastered that we move on to the next and work our way up. Eventually we can master everything together! It will be an amazing learning journey.
I have successfully tutored in GCSE Maths, Science and English, as well as for the 11+. Furthermore, I taught on a weekly basis, for a year, at a local primary school. My academic record is excellent (I achieved 10 A*s at GCSE and am currently awaiting my IB results).
A budding Mathematician, I achieved 11 A*s (inc. Maths) at GCSE level and have a place to study PPE at Warwick this year. I encourage participation and discussion of the topic, as well as relating Maths back to the real world.
I have recently completed a BSc Mathematics degree course. I now give private lessons at the KS2, KS3 and GCSE levels. I go over new curriculum material with primary and secondary school pupils to aid their understanding of any mathematical areas that they are struggling with. I also give them work to do in their spare time, which I assess afterwards.
I typically use the student's syllabus as a guide to make sure what the student knows what to expect and go to more depth in the fundamentals to explain a concept to ensure the student understands it, and then focus on the applications of those concepts so that they can apply those concepts effectively. But I emphasise more understanding the concepts to develop the students' problem-solving skills.
My teaching method is on the basis of practical and i relate with students on one to one basis. I ensure every students understand the difficult problems easily.
I try to aproach the student in a gentle way so they are not intimidated and I start off with easier questions to build confidence explaining every step of the way.
Offerings: Assignment/Homework Support and Taught study support. Support based on requirements of student and one to one personal commitment to success. I believe it is essential to understand the learning styles of tutees to ensure the the attainment of the highest possible grades.
My tutoring approach is to cover daily exercises and techniques as thoroughly as possible. I have seen students improve on their speed in answering Math and English questions.
Produce lesson plans. Review learning outcomes. Progress reviews with learners. Maintaining excellent relationships with learner to enable them progress with ease. Make Science subjects exciting to learn. Make it a point of duty that my students feel free to ask difficult and bothering questions concerning what they have learnt.
I believe that the best way to learn maths is through practice so I intend to teach the material and then go through multiple different practice questions to ensure the student is confident in how to approach a question
Hello, I'm Ting! I have just graduated from University of Bath in BSc Chemistry. I'd be able to assist my students with their GCSE and A-level Maths and Chemistry subjects. I have achieved A-A* grades in these subjects so I believe I will be able to help my tutees achieve the same. My lessons will be catered towards my students.
When I teach a subject, I ensure that you understand all the basics perfectly. When you have a solid base to work from, it is easier to go on a logical journey to harder topics as it will make sense in your head. It will become as natural as counting which means you will remember it and apply it easily.
I am a 22 year old female mathematics student. I am best at helping those at GCSE level or below as I did not study A-level maths. I like to work according to what your weaknesses are and also what you are currently learning at school. This is to avoid confusion between topics. I currently tutor a 13 year old girl in her family home on a Thursday evening.
