My teaching method is to tutor with the help of my own recent experience of GCSE exams. I understand the new specification and content in depth, the added pressure put on students and some of the best methods for effective revision.
I prefer online tution. We will discuss the syllabus materials and then move on to sample practice questions when you are confident with the lesson.
As a tutor, I work with students to bring the best out of them. This means teaching at a pace that they feel comfortable with, building their confidence in one subject before moving on and always bringing in new and exciting challenges. Where possible I like to explain concepts with real life applications, so the student understands the usefulness of the subject.
I am a science graduate (geology) from the University of Athens and I have an MSc from Trinity College Dublin in chemistry. I am available for tutorials (Mathematics and Science - chemistry and physics) of all levels. I am a professional teacher with many years of experience (16 years). I have worked for years with teenagers, I am patient and I have always seen great results.
I work by identifying a students strengths and weaknesses through preliminary tests. I then tailor the lessons to address weaknesses by reinforcing information though exampled that i broken down in to further topics. The student is also given the opportunity to share their preferred teaching style.
Everyone is different, and sometimes the way things are taught in class can be very confusing. My goal is to provide fun, informative study sessions with students by focussing on their problem areas and attempting to re-frame topics into something that makes more sense.
I'm a student from India doing my MSc. Structural Engineering at the University of Manchester. I'm happy to offer lessons to high schools and civil engineering students. I'm offering lessons related particular queries that students ask me. Lessons may be last for 1 day to 1 week. I can offer home service and library learning.
I am a first year chemical engineering student at the University of Manchester and I am looking to give lessons to both GCSE and A-Level students. Having gone through the same education and with the stress of A-level exams quite fresh in my mind i understand what exactly students need to know to obtain their dream grade.
My teaching method is listening at which point my students are, asking them what they want to achieve and build a plan towards that. I like to revise the content that we will be touching first so I can be prepared for any difficulties my student can have.
I give lessons to high school and college students. I like to understand where the students are falling behind before I start teaching so the first day I meet with the student, I'd give him/her a test just to have an Idea of what they know and what they don't, then I take it from there.
I like to cover the whole specification for the subject - starting with the weakest topics. Each session would consist of completing a topic along with making personal notes that the student can revisit later to make more use of the session.
I have a broad range of teaching strategies which are suitable for all types of learners which I have amassed over many years keeping up to date with the latest DFE guidelines and best practices shared with a host of subject specialists teachers
Starting by knowing each other I then try to understand your necessities and methods. I want you to find your real self and to unveil it. In other words, to become the best version of yourself. Behind everything man has invented or discovered there is a logic and, especially in maths, this logic is the key to open a knowledge that will be extremely usefull in life... Trust me with that.
My teaching method involves as much direct practise at exam questions as possible, the more exposure you have had to past paper questions the higher the chance of success. My focus is to teach you through step by step methods, that work as set solutions, this removes the thinking process, saves time and makes maths intuitive.
Visualising the problem is key. My lessons will focus on what things actually mean and where they come from, as opposed to "blind maths". I am studying for a masters degree in physics and am happy to teach A level maths or physics (including further maths).
I am a graduate of Aerospace Engineering from the University of Manchester, with excellent grades at both GCSE and A Level. I can offer lessons to A Level Maths and Physics Students who either wish to improve their performance, or understand a concept. I have worked as an outdoor instructor, as well as academic tutoring, giving me different ways to approach and explain topics.
I have been tutoring privately for over eight years. My main focus is on GCSE Maths. I also teach pupils who are aiming to sit the Eleven Plus Entrance Exam. I have, for most part used past material readily available from website exclusive to that grammar schools, the student will be aiming for; mainly tackling questions from BOND resources I work off Bond's Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning.
My methodology as a tutor is to provide help to the student where they may be struggling, but also allow them to have interest in the subject they are learning, to help them find the drive themselves to excel in a given subject. I give lessons to all students at a range of levels from KS4 and below.
I like to spend a little time explaining the material / clearing up any confusion the student might have regarding the subject. However, my lessons are centred around doing practical examples as I believe there is no better way to understand mathematics and physics concepts than through application.
Hi, I'm Chris and I am a fully qualified teacher of Physics with great passion and enthusiasm for the subject. I always endeavour to relate topics to current events and give them real life context to make it more engaging and memorable for students. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach Biology, Chemistry and Maths up to GCSE, Physics and Applied Science up to A-level.
I am a young and creative tutor that is keen to look at students' School/College work and lesson plans in depth as to prepare fun and effective lesson schedules that enhance and maximise a student's understanding in each topic. I love finding many different ways to explain the same concepts should a pupil need a more thorough approach to their learning.
My name is John, and I'm a second year Maths student at Lancaster University, I live in Bolton during the summer, Easter and Christmas holidays. I can not only help with teaching maths, but also help with revision techniques, exam technique and coping with exam stress. I hope to hear from you soon.
I believe understanding is key - ideas should not be memorised, but understood deeply. To achieve this, it's important to identify the suitable method for each student, as it varies for each individual, to help them absorb new ideas quickly, yet with a complete understanding of the material.
I teach my lessons in person at the student's home. My lessons are structured one topic at a time, focusing on the most fundamental or the ones that the student struggles with the most first. Each lesson starts with basic theory of the topic, then application of the skills. At the end of the lesson homework is assigned on the topic, to be reviewed at the start of the next session.
My teaching methodology is very contingent depending on the topic, the student and the need of the hour. I customize each lesson according to the intellectual capability of the student and emphasize on understanding of the concepts by the students instead of making them just remember formulas.
My methodology is based on the Genetic Epistemology, a theory of knowledge by Jean Piaget. I have been improving this methodology along the years and now I have a unique pedagogical method to offer. Unlike the traditional technique for online teaching, I make the student really understand what is required from him, not just memorize.
Everyone works at their own pace, and everyone learns differently. My teaching style aims to accommodate for all styles of learning through patience and perseverance. As a teacher working through examples with the student, showing them the recommended approach and then letting them take the lead working through practice questions proves an effective and successful method.
My teaching method is very rigorous and challenging. It is not easy and it does not cater to students who have low ambitions. I can encourage motivation and I have experience in working with difficult learners. I ask for students who have sight on working towards an fulfilling future and are willing to do whatever it takes to be the most successful individual they can be.
My teaching method is very direct and to the point, I will first identify the areas people are struggling with and aim the teaching. I am a friendly human being and certainly do have the patient to persevere and help break down complex methodologies to help students excel where is required.
I am a 23 year old Physics graduate who is a fully qualified Physics and Maths teacher in secondary schools. I can provide help and support on a one to one basis in Maths and Physics up to A Level.
