About Annastasia
I am a local marine scientist awarded a Bachelor of Marine Science from IMAS. As a volunteer at a local science facility I have been educating students aged 5-18 for 8 years, and I am familiar with the science curriculum for all grades.
Despite my specialised degree I am comfortable teaching all facets of science and biology.

I am a passionate educator and enthusiastic science communicator, I have been fascinated from a young age and remain incurably curious!
I recognise that all students are different and my teaching method reflects this. The lessons I structure are varied and can be geared towards utilising different learning styles, so that the strengths of individual student are acknowledged and tailored to, allowing them to study more efficiently. I am patient and able to work effectively with students of varying degrees of competency.
To engage students I use a range of different resources in my lessons, these may include multimedia (such as videos), flashcards, worksheets, and mnemonics.
The lessons I provide are aligned with the Australian Curriculum and associated achievement standards.
