About Benjamin

I am a mathematics student in Newcastle University. I have been a private tutor for 4 years with 5 different students. With my help, the 4 GCSE students I have taught achieved at least an A (or a 7 in the current grading system), with my AS student also achieving an A. Each student had 20 hours of one-on-one contact time with me, whether that was in person (for three of them, the AS Level and three GCSE students) or online.

About the lesson

As a university student, I offer help to students at any level prior to university. Whether you are struggling in the subject as a whole, or just one or two particular areas, I would be more than happy to help. Generally, I like to treat my first session as a rather informal one, so you can ask me anything you'd like to know and I can judge which areas would be best for us to start working on. After that I view my job as, first, improving your general understanding of mathematics to see an improvement across the board, then later fine tuning your skills to make sure you're confident enough to answer any question that comes your way.

He is a natural born teacher who is probably more qualified to teach than my school maths teacher and the reason is got an 8 in maths GCSE. Ben is able to explain topics in struggled with in school in a simple and accessible way.ben makes an effort to make wire you have a thorough understanding of topic for example trying a different method if not. He also has the attitude of a professional as he very punctual and flexible in terms of arranging lesson to suit my very busy schedule and and lovely individual.
