About Sam
I am from Hartland, WI. I grew up loving the outdoors, a variety of sports, and academics. I attended Saint Louis University from 2020 to 2024 and obtained a BA in Spanish, with a minor in Biology. Currently, I am a 3rd year medical student at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, IL. During my first two years, I earned high scores on all exams and in all classes, my favorites being anatomy and physiology. I enjoy learning about the human body, and I stay curious every day by continuing education throughout my medical school curriculum.

During my undergraduate studies at Saint Louis University, I hosted three, two-hour academic support sessions each week to assist students with their coursework by ensuring a safe space for all. Through tutoring sessions, I facilitated the learning process in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, and physics. Adapting to any question and concept that is brought up, I guide students to find the answer themselves through active participation. To do this, I ask questions and provide concept explanations that incrementally reach a goal. Because of this, I allow the student to fulfill that goal through their own hard work. Then I assess learning progress to identify opportunities to enhance academic growth in each student I encounter.
