I approach each student differently, first by understanding what they need and how they learn best, then applying that to their current curriculum aims. I like to work with what the parents have available in terms of revision and work guides, but am also happy to supply extra materials online. My previous students either like to work through home-work and then complete extra practises (all with guidance) or I start with going over the fundamental principles covered in each topic again, as many students feel like their teachers go too fast in lessons, so I like to work to their pace.
For every student I like to provide them small goals to work to so they accomplish something every few sessions, on the way to hitting their main goal which is usually a grade target or an exam.
