About Alexis
Before deciding to join the healthcare field, I studied teaching methods that instill students with the faculties and confidence to problem solve and think critically. I loved watching students' confidence grow over time as they tackled challenging topics that they used to dread. I believe that education elevates us to learn what we as individuals want and deserve from this life.
Being the first person in my family to attend a university and grad school was a huge challenge. I felt like I was drowning in a world that I didn't deserve to be apart of. Because of wonderful mentors that encouraged and helped me, I was able to thrive and stand tall. I hope to provide my student's with direction and wisdom that will help them navigate the education process and all of it's intricacies.

I adjust my lessons to meet students where they are and to work towards reaching their goals. I also hope to instill students with the confidence and resources to take on challenging topics.
I use visuals and real-life application tool to promote comprehension and retention. I believe that my warm and welcoming personality allows for students to feel comfortable to bring forward their questions and concerns. Establishing boundaries sets the space at which trust can be built and learning can be done.
