About LILIA
I am a reader and writer at heart. Up through my A Levels, I studied subjects revolving around reading and essay or creative writing. I gained As and A*s in Alevels of English literature, Classical Civilisations, Law and Philosophy. I went on to study law at a Russel Group university, which is a subject that I love for it’s foundations in reading. My essay writing skills really developed throughout my degree as well. Graduated With first class honours a couple of years ago, and now I have come back to teaching, which is a true passion of mine, and really what I want to spend my life doing! I teach because I love to, and have done since I first started tutoring as a part time job 7 years ago, when I was just 15. Over those years I have worked with such a range of different students of different ages, abilities, needs and interests.

I am a uni graduate with over 7 years of tutoring experience. It is something that I genuinely love doing! I have experience tutoring students ranging from 6-18 at all levels, as well as students with a range of additional learning needs. I truly believe that students learn better in an enjoyable environment that it’s responsive and adaptable to what they need. I like to incorporate a lot of back and forth conversation as this is something that is hard to recreate in the class room and really valuable to a student’s understanding, and to my awareness of what support they need! My lessons will tend to start with content learning, progress through discussion of the topic, and often end in some activity that consolidates the learning.
