About Alex
I have been playing guitar for fifteen years, focusing on learning songs to play for friends, gatherings, and events. I have a particular interest in American folk-style fingerpicking, which has shaped my acoustic playing.
Alongside acoustic guitar, I have developed my electric guitar skills with an emphasis on speed, precision, and noise control, particularly in metal and heavier styles.
Over the years, I have learned how to develop necessary skills and correct habits that can slow progress. Now I want to share what I have learned and help students build a strong technical foundation, develop at their own pace, and understand how to continue improving on their own.

Practical, and focused approach, helping students actually play music. I emphasize developing proper technique from the beginning, so students build a solid foundation instead of developing habits that can hold them back later. Lessons are tailored to each student's level and goals.
I help each student develop a learning plan based on their starting level and goals. Whether the goal is to learn favorite songs, build solid fundamentals, improve technique, or eventually play independently, we focus on the skills and material that will help them get there.
A solid plan and understanding on how to practice on your own is the only path to successful development.
Acoustic guitar: proper playing position and basic right- and left-hand technique, chords and changes, strumming with a pick or fingers, fingerpicking patterns.
Electric guitar: playing position and right- and left-hand technique, noise control, riffs, bends, vibrato, palm muting, and other techniques needed to play cleanly and confidently.
