I always find out what the students have been struggling with. We then go to the core principles of the topic. From that point, I explain the concept very briefly and include lots of practice questions. We then very gradually progress and make things more difficult. The idea of practice with gradual increases in difficulty means that the students don't feel too uncomfortable with challenging questions in Mathematics.
