My name is Matharasi Kalaimani, and I am a dedicated and professional Mathematics tutor currently pursuing my Master’s degree at Middlesex University, London. With a strong academic background and hands-on experience as a Maths Teaching Assistant, I bring both subject expertise and practical teaching experience to every lesson I deliver. I am passionate about helping students understand and enjoy Mathematics, regardless of their starting level. My tutoring approach is student-centred, structured, and results-driven. I begin by assessing each student’s current understanding of Mathematics and identifying specific areas that require improvement. Based on this assessment, I design a personalised learning plan that focuses on strengthening core concepts, developing problem-solving skills, and building confidence in the subject. I employ a range of teaching techniques, including step-by-step explanations, real-life examples, and interactive exercises to make complex mathematical ideas more accessible. I also encourage students to think critically and apply logical reasoning rather than relying solely on memorisation. Regular progress checks and practice tests help track improvement and ensure consistent development. A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, during which I balance theory, practice, and discussion to maintain engagement and understanding. I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree at Middlesex University and have prior experience as a Maths Teaching Assistant, where I supported students across various levels.
