About Ximena
I recently finished my Biology degree from a four-year university, where I worked as both a tutor and peer mentor for students in STEM pathways. Throughout my years as a student, I was fully engaged in student life, being a member and officer of student organizations, creating study groups for my classes, and working with faculty and staff to further my knowledge and understanding of my degree and career choice.
As of now, I am pursuing a Master of Public Health with an Epidemiology track, with the goal of working with an organization that focuses on the rapid response to a disease crisis and the spread of resources to at-risk communities.

Due to my experience, I can tutor students in high school and college/university courses. I like to make things fun! Trying to find metaphors for biological processes, using maps, creating acronyms to remember those hard names - it was always helpful for me, and I hope it is helpful for others. How to approach me? Just talk to me, introduce yourself and the topic you are looking to learn more, I'll do quick research in my brain, notes, and studies, and I'll work with you to figure it out!
