About Aimie
I could not have gotten through college without the aid of fellow students, professors, and TAs. If you're like me, you may find it difficult to ask for help at times, but I highly believe that there is no such thing as a stupid question, and there is no shame in needing an explanation more than once. My 4 years of experience teaching workshops to 20+ students & managing a research help desk has given me a lot of insight in different types of learning--although I more than welcome feedback and suggestions if the lessons are not working for you. This is a great experience for us to learn together, and I am quite excited for the journey.

- I am looking to tutor up through high-school level in basic/general biology (cellular bio, genetics, evolution, etc) and through college level in any taxonomy or ecology course (botany, mammalogy, biogeography, etc.)
- I often implement drawings, diagrams, and flowcharts into my lessons, as I believe that in biology especially that is the best way to view the subject or process as a whole.
- A typical lesson would start with the student explaining to me what material they do and don't feel confident with, and then I would do a short lesson/explanation of some major topics, before giving them an activity to do on their own, which we would go discuss afterwards.
- I will be constantly checking in with the student to make sure that the lesson is effective, and make changes as I go to ensure that my help is catered towards each individual's learning style.
