About Chae
I am a University of Toronto graduate with High Distinction, earning an Honors Bachelor of Science. I was a consistent A student throughout my degree, with a major in Health and Disease and a minor in Physiology and Immunology. I am currently continuing my studies at UofT as a nursing student, further strengthening my clinical knowledge and understanding of health sciences.
Alongside my academic background, I have extensive experience working with children in both educational and mentorship settings. I have taught at non-profit schools and provided one-on-one tutoring for K–12 students, supporting learners of different levels and learning styles. Through this work, I have developed structured study plans tailored to individual needs, with students showing measurable improvements in both grades and confidence.
My approach is patient, supportive, and results-focused, with an emphasis on building strong foundational understanding rather than memorization. I aim to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, stay engaged, and develop long-term academic confidence.

Lessons are tailored to each student’s pace, needs, and goals so they can understand biology without feeling overwhelmed. I focus on building confidence while strengthening core science skills through clear, step-by-step explanations and practice.
For students in Grades 1–9, I cover foundational biology topics including basic body systems, cell structure and function, introductory physiology, and other core concepts taught in school curricula, presented in a simple and engaging way.
