About Amelia
I graduated from university and began tutoring almost immediately. I’d never planned on becoming a teacher but I loved tutoring so much that I decided to do my PGCE shortly afterwards. I’ve now worked in secondary schools for over three years and my enthusiasm for the subject and the students is yet to wane!
I have experience tutoring a range of ages and abilities, from KS2 ESL to A-Level preparation. All of my A-Level students received grade A-A*. I have taught some students for over five years, adapting lessons to challenge them consistently.

Learning and improving your English can be a daunting task, often people fail because they don’t enjoy the lessons and they find tasks daunting. My lessons will be adapted around your ability and interests to make them more accessible. Depending on your needs and ability the lessons can range from writing stories together, evaluating others’ work, planning exam answers and whatever else you may need.
Students have said my classes are creative and fun and I have gained lots of tutees from word of mouth. I have strong subject knowledge and a love for English so any weak areas you have, I am ready to help. I look forward to chatting!
